Kai Pure Komachi Knife Set - 3 Piece Stainless Steel Kitchen Knives- Paring Knife, Serrated Knife and Santoku - Dishwasher Safe

These were for a father's day gift as he really enjoys cooking. They are now his new favorite knives. He loves how they feel and cut. I love that with the cases it doesn't much matter that our knife block is full. They were a good price for the quality. I will probably try to expand his collection for his birthday or Christmas since he loves these ones so much. I wasn't sure how the colored knives would go over for him (he tends to be a little picky) so this nice little 3 pack was perfect - double bonus as it is the three types of knives he uses most often! They quickly replaced his old favorites and are MUCH easier to clean because of the coating. He doesn't always wash knives right away and they can get to be a pain to clean without cutting yourself - not these. He can leave them dirty (I don't recommend it though) and they still just wipe clean as though they haven't been sitting for a few hours.

These are a replacement for my Kai Pure Komachi 2 chef's knife, which is getting old. This set of Kai HD knives is the next generation, and they are great! The knives suit my everyday needs as a chef, and they arrived on time and in eco-friendly packaging. The handles are very comfortable and the knives fit well in my smaller hands (the largest knife is around 6") This knife trio is a great bargain, as well (especially since they come with knife covers). I highly recommend this product and seller.

Love these knives!Update: Have used these knives almost daily for 3 months. They are as sharp as they were when I received them. Most quality chef knives are a little heavy for me as I have a some arthritis in some of my fingers. This Chef knife is comfortable in my hand and I am able to use it as I would any other Chef's knife. These three knives perform all my kitchen prep needs wonderfully. KAI products are awesome. I bought my daughter a set of KAI knives 3 years ago and they are still as sharp as ever. I have a set of KAI quilting scissors and they cut through fabric like a knife through butter. I continue to recommend these knives and other KAI products.

I've had a lot of knives over the years, but this Kai set is hands-down the best I've owned. I can use the blue knife for everything from cutting up raw meat to slicing tomatoes. Come to think of it, I use the purple knife for much the same thing. The green knife is great for smaller jobs like hulling strawberries. They're all very light and fit well in my hand. Alas, the cat mistook the blue knife's handle as a chew toy (fortunately at the end so it doesn't affect my use) so I can't display it, but these would look great on a knife bar.

These are great knives. I have just the pairing knife, which I keep in my desk drawer at the office. I bought this set for my mother, who has a tendency to throw knives in a drawer where the edges get banged up. Because these have covers, I have solved that problem. Now if I could only convince her not to user them on a glass "cutting board".

Works well, but the pointed sharp end of the purple knife is worrisome because it is so sharp. Also I would rather have more serrated coverage on this knife. I have not used the paring knife yet.

These are a gift. I bought them for my daughter-in-law after we both liked using them in a house we were renting for a summer vacation. They are strong, sharp and clean up nicely.

Love these knives! Sharp as a razor and durable. They also sharpen well.
