It worked great. I read about people having problems with the lugs breaking. I drilled a small hole on between each log and put a bolt in it. I have picture of coons sitting on it with no problem.

Lasted less than a month. Purchased to change a old corn feeder into a protein feeder. Definitely had a increase in traffic around my area. Last time out though, the whole thing was broken off my feeder. A hog had bumped it until the plastic top cracked. While the bottom is metal, the top is cheap plastic. Would probably work if you had hog fence around you feeders, but for free range feeding, will not hold up.

Great idea, eliminating batteries and mototrs that breakdown. Feed goes fast though with deer eating at will. I don't have hogs where I hunt, but do have racoons. I read in reviews that coons were breaking the plate off the moultrie feeder tabs. I reinforced mine with 5 metal roof screws beside the tabs. I have 2 dinner plate feeders. Each have had deer and racoons feeding with the racoon sitting on plate. The screws reinforcement seems to be the trick. So far I'm happy. If you have hogs, I believe you'll need another fix.

Installed this on old 200lb feeder barrel. So far it is working well with corn only. I am going to start adding protein pellets and it will be interesting if they feed as well as the corn.

Like other reviewers, I bought this to convert a Moultrie corn feeder into a protein feeder. The idea was great, but the execution is horribly inadequate. The Dinner Plate installs easily. You just twist off the corn spinner and twist on the Dinner Plate. After putting it together, I did exactly that. The next time I went to fill the feeder, I found the Dinner Plate laying on the ground and all of the protein had emptied from the feeder and was all gone. After inspection, I found that the plastic tabs had broken off. I reviewed my trail camera and found that, like the other reviewer, hogs had knocked it off. I reinstalled the Dinner Plate using 4 self-tapping screws and it lasted a few more fills before it was broken off again. I currently have it held on by about 10 self-tapping screws. This could all have been avoided, if the top of the Dinner Plate was made as well as the bottom of the Dinner Plate. If Moultrie would put metal reinforcements on the twist tabs, it would be great.The worst part of this was that I contacted Moultrie to tell them this and never received a reply.
