Great performing Cue forthe money, Well balanced and Accurate
I bought this for my wife to replace stolen cues and was kinda on a budget from having to buy a new higher end cue so I picked this one for her.. i am a sponsored player and had very high end equipment and I used this cheapy cue and shot a couple racks and was very impressed for being a cheap cue.. So I will say that it is a great performing cue for the money.. I wouldn't call it a professional cue, however intermediate would be more accurate.. the quick release is not the name brand however the joint is stainless and the pin is as thick as the name brand and it functions well.. the balancing is right on, and the taper on the shaft is a bit to thin tapered for an intermediate right to its it's 12 mm tip, so the APA type average player may need to spend some time to get used to that. Now the tip does need to be changed for good performance because it is just to hard for a proper game, and it is not a layered tip either, that is unless your a player who likes to play with a hard tip that chalk doesn't stick to well.. either way, you can't go wrong at these prices

Mine arrived perfect for the price
I needed a standard sized cue for when I got next to a wall at pool hall that has the tables too close..I shoot with a custom over length cue and it is useless in tight quarters. This cue looks even better in life then in photos (green)..The joint is a semi quick release and all metal (not ABS or fiber) shorty ferrel.. thick very hard tip.. proper rubber butt cap and tightly wound Irish linen wrap done in black..I was pretty concerned that it would arrive with one of the 3 most mentioned issues.. but I just needed a standard size cue to use a couple three times a night without hunting down a house cue.top 3 problems in reviews 1) handle wrap loose 2) Wrapped shaft 3) tip to hard to take chaulk..Mine was fine.. the other players were impressed with the looks of the cue especially since it was under the price of a name brand pool glove and chaulk purchase..I did use a tip cutter and reshaped the tip to a dime shape and it took and held chaulk fine.. I used it for about 3 racks of 8 ball and fould the balance.. weight (20oz)..and hitting quality to be very exceptable..I am only giving 4 star simply because I have only used it once.. My bag cue slots are tight.. so we will see how it holds up over time..But based on what I see so far.. it is probadly impossible to beat in this price range..update.. after a miscue (in important match) with the hard (low grade tip) I replaced with an Ultra Skin White soft tip that I use on my other cues.. available on eBay for 3 for 15 bucks.. the Ultra Skin plays like a Kamui for a fraction of the price..

For the mony it's a steal
Better than expected, better than the price indicates. Honestly if this cue had a higher end name as the manufacturer you would pay many times more for this cue. The cue arrived straight, in good shape. The finish on it is nice. The tip is a bit hard but that appeals to some people, I play a more finesse game typically and rely on English often. I will change the tip to something softer. I own several cues, a few that are several to many multiples more expensive. I would play with this cue any day. I prefer one maybe 2 of my other cues over this but for the price to even be mentioned is saying a lot. This is easily comperable to any mid priced cue from high end cue makers.

YOUR SHOTS WILL BE STRONG & TRUE... WITH THIS STRAIGHT & HEFTY SHORT CUE!!
If it's possible to love an inanimate object, I love this short cue stick. It has a professional glossy finish and cool design, but most important, IT'S STRAIGHT AND HAS THE PERFECT WEIGHT. Also, now I won't be hitting the walls of my studio apt. with a longass cue stick. The only thing about this GSE stick that I'd like to improve is the tip. It can be used as is or with a tweak of fine sandpaper; but I plan to remove the glued-on tip and replace it with a screw-on tip. Then this pool ball baton will be one-of-a-kind :)

Good price for an entry level student of the game.
Looks good, works good, I see no faults in this entry level cue stick, it's straight and balanced properly and the cue tip works well too. I have played this game for 60 years and wanted an entry level cue stick as a gift to a new pool player with the incentive that if they become a much better player they would receive a much better cue stick, but it's really hard to find any flaws in this stick which I have found none. By the way the weight of this cue stick is exactly what I ordered another plus to the company I ordered it from.

Some good qualities, some bad.
The stick arrived slightly bent. The packaging was inadequate. Debating on sending it back. The threaded connection seems very solid and we'll designed. The wrapped part of the handle feels a little cheap, but not terrible. All around not a bad stick for the price, but you think they would make it straight and cushion it for delivery. Someone dropped the ball there. Now I'll have to either put up with the slight bend or deal with the hassle of sending it back.

Grip unraveled.
We moved into a house that came complete with pool table. The cues that came with the table were a little wonky so I decided to treat myself to a cue. Based on the reviews and the image, it looked to be just what I was looking for. After playing with it since January, the grip has come completely unraveled and slides down the stick. While to some, it may be a minor issue, but frankly, its a pain. So, I either cut off the grip completely and replace it with something else, get a new cue or suck it up. Frankly, for the price, I'll get something of a better quality next time.

wasn't what I thought it was
The tip is hard as rock and slides off the cue ball. I took it in to get a new tip installed and was informed I had a "break" stick. I had noticed it was thicker than the other cues, and I was informed it's only use was in the "break". Other cues are more slender and used for shooting after the break. It is a decent cue, but I think I will return it as I wanted a general use cue

Not what I expected
The cue arrived without a soft bag and joint protectors that were mentioned in the item description. It felt heavier than my current cue of the same weight and I found that the balance was slightly off. But I guess for this price you cannot expect a lot.
