Pretty nice piece for younger kids
Bought this as a present for my 7 yr old who is really into planets and loves Jupiter. So far we have only tinkered with it once. It's a very basic item and had no luck being able to focus in on any stars or planets, possibly because of an excess of light where we were located. Going to try again this coming weekend. Overall pretty easy to assemble and operate. Excited to try out the phone adapter as well as spotting the moon. We were able to view a few distant radio towers which blew my kids minds.Overall really happy with it and hoping this is the first of many more to come with her interest in space.

Impressed with this little thing
We've played with this some and so far it's been a great addition to our evenings! Everyone in our family is new to astronomy so this was a great way to get into it without spending a ton of money on a fancy and expensive telescope. We can get amazing views of the moon and are learning how to better view planets and stars. The included Barlow lenses are a really nice addition that many telescopes in this price range don't have. The Barlow lenses were a prerequisite for anything that we were going to order due to HOPING to see the rings around Saturn as we get better with viewing and focusing this telescope. We aren't there yet, but I imagine it will happen soon. Stability is the key to this so we set it on the ground and lay down to use it. (Very short tripod, but we knew that when we purchased it.) At some point I'm going to design a 3D printed mount for a Raspberry Pi camera that we can put over the lens, so we can view the images on a monitor instead of through the eyepiece. This should allow everyone to look at the images making it more family friendly. Please note that the eye piece on this telescope is NOT a standard size. One review says it's a 1.25", but it is definitely NOT. It is much smaller, like about a .75". It's not a bad thing, but it's just something to be aware of. Overall, for the money this is probably one of the better telescopes on Amazon. Does it compare to a $250 scope? I don't know, but probably not. But it's much cheaper so it would be hard to complain about that. For those of us that like to occasionally get a nice close look at the moon, it's a great purchase.

Packaging makes it look like a very basic and inexpensive product.
I was buying this telescope as a starter unit for a family with two boys in college. As I paid around $90 , I figured, at the least, that the box would look like a reasonable starter unit. The box actually looked like a Kid's toy for 10-12 year olds.I am not complaining about the telescope. Only the cheap looking packaging that could have been from Mattel or even Playschool

Nice beginner telescope, although provided stand is short
I don't know anything about astronomy and what features to look for in a telescope. But my family has had fun playing with the ToyerBee telescope. Assembly was easy enough because of the clear directions and there's enough information provided to get started. But you'll probably want to browse the internet for tips and tricks for beginner telescope usage. We found it best to start looking at terrestrial objects during the day to learn the basics before trying stargazing which is much more difficult. When you do start looking into the sky, use one of those augmented reality stargazing apps on your phone to find the general locations of heavenly bodies.I like that it came with a phone holder. It's much easier for kids to see images looking at the phone screen although you do lose some of the clarity you get looking directly through the lens. If you have an old phone sitting around, use it with the telescope.I wish the included stand was larger. It's nearly impossible to use the spotter's scope unless you put it on a table, rock, or something elevated. So that makes stargazing somewhere remote (which gives you the best views) more difficult because you have to find something to put the telescope on. If you don't use the viewfinder, then the small stand is fine because you're looking down into the lens. I wish the stand was a little longer so that I could at least use the scope kneeling. You may be better off buying a different stand.

Great little telescope!
I got this for my birthday and it was super easy to put together. I am so glad I have a telescope now to see the moon from my balcony. The only reason I would give this 4 stars is because the phone mount doesn't hold my phone in place. I am able to hold my phone up to the viewfinder however and get these wonderful photos that I attached so it's not a huge problem.

A Christmas Miracle?
This telescope started out in Texas, went to Illinois, and then Iowa, on its eventful journey to Colorado. After almost a month in transit, it miraculously showed up on Christmas Eve - perfect timing. It seems simple enough to use, and should last my daughter a couple years until she outgrows it (if she does). As such, it's a good beginner's telescope.

Gotta buy this one, you won't regret it.
I got my telescope πtoday. All I have to say is that it's super easy to assemble. Great for beginners and maybe even pros. It's solid built π― It comes with two lens and two additional extensions lens. It took me less then two minutes to put it together β€π.I was very happy with the quality and how well it holds. The phone holder and camera control are a bonus.I'm sick of everybody posting on social media bad moon shots everytime there is a special moment, alsoMy autistic son, doesn't understand why or how sometimes, so figured I would show him and help him understand better what are those tiny lights in the sky.The moon ππ is our goal.He was interested right β away.Over all we are very happy and im sure you will to.Update:Amazing ππ

Great Gift for a budding Galileo!
I got this for my nephew's 10th birthday as he has always enjoyed looking at the moon and stars with the naked eye. We used Google Sky to find what we wanted to see. Set up and use was pretty easy (with adult help), and quality was awesome! My boyfriend uses an expensive "professional" model and even he noted that this was pretty good bang for your buck! My nephew liked it and i'm pretty sure he could even use it without supervision now that he's seen what to do. Very cool, educaitonal yet fun gift. Would buy again and, although we didn't need it, customer service from ToyerBee looks like it would be great as the gift came with instructinos on what to do if there was a problem with quality- USA based company, too!
