MinouraW-3100 Heavy-Duty Repair Stand with Tool Tray

Great stand, compact yet very stable and sturdy. The only thing that I decided to alter was the height. I am only 5'4" tall and lifting my regular commuter and carbon road bike onto the stand is no problem, but lifting some of my heavier and bulkier bikes (fat tire and e-bike) was a challenge. I drilled a hole through the upper part of the stand so I could drop it down several inches and still use the existing hardware... worked perfectly. I also have a feedback sports portable stand that is very nice, but I like that you can just lift and place the top tube on the clamp and then close. As a daily bike commuter, I also like that it has a small footprint so I can just have a rack that stays up and ready to use in my garage.. which is nice for quick drive train clean/lube.

This is the first bicycle repair stand I've ever purchased, after working on my own bikes for many years -- so first off, I do recommend some kind of stand if you do your own maintenance and repairs. I could have used something like this the first time I rebuilt a bike from the bearings up.Prior to buying this stand, I did research a number of others. I was originally looking at another model Minoura stand which cost a bit more. Unable to justify that amount of money, I finally settled on this model W-3100. It's currently in use for stripping down and rebuilding an old steel frame, 5-speed AMF Roadster that I like for my daily commute. The stand is solid and sturdy, without being terribly heavy. I do my work in the garage, so frequently move the stand around (I'll work in one spot if a car's in the garage -- and move around if the car's in the driveway). I've had zero issues picking up and moving the stand (with or without bike attached).The clamp works really well for me, once I fiddled with it a bit. I suspect someone else had purchased this particular stand and returned it -- this based on the re-taped packaging and the fact that the clamp didn't seem to hold a frame securely. A few minutes of adjustments got the clamp working well, and I've had no problems with it since. The tool tray is a bit small and not as sturdy, but it works well enough. I generally keep a few things there, but it's not going to hold all your tools all the time. I use it for small pieces and a tool or two as I work on a bike.

High Quality All steel. very easy to use and operate provided that you ignore the instructions. The moveable part of the jaw should be at the top, NOT the bottom. stable even with heavy bikes. Makes everything easier. I think it is mechanically superior to all of the other stands I have checked out.

Nice work station for tinkering with bikes..... makes life much easier when the bike is raised up to work on it. Very stable station, very easy to clamp bike and easy to adjust.

The tool tray arrived broken

Got mine from REI but this is the same model. It is simple: fixed height, one-handed clamp, notched rotation with adjustable friction. All stressed parts are metal, with rubber cushions on the clamp jaws. The tool holder is a big plus for me. I am 5'9' tall and the fixed height clamp pivots at 55", just about perfect shoulder height. It holds my 20kg bike very firmly by seat tube or seat post, and the clamp jaws open wide for fat down tubes or top tubes. The pedals stay clear of the post and tool tray. It looks pretty nice too; when not holding a bike it could be left in the (frat house) living room as a coatrack, with keys or a "beverage" in the tool tray.

Quality product from Japan - simple but effective design and relatively simple to put together. Only minor criticism is it doesn't fold quite as much as would be good but still great.

Mit dem Minoura Montageständer erhält man eines.-Aufbau in 5 Minuten-eine vernünftige deutschsprachige Bedienungsanleitung liegt bei-sehr ordentliche Qualität - konnte keine wirklichen Schwachstellen ausmachen-habe an der Unterseite der Werkzeugablage einen Magneten angebracht damit diese in der Schale zentral liegen bleiben-die "Füße" des Ständers klappen nicht zusammen, wenn man die beiden Schrauben etwas fester anzieht (Hinweis zu einer anderen Rezension)-die Werkzeugablage ist beim Betätigen der Pedale nicht im Weg, wenn man diese einfach etwas weiter oben fixiert (Hinweis zu einer anderen Rezension)-durch den Drehmechanismus kann man die fehlende Höhenverstellung teilweise ausgleichen (Hinweis zu einer anderen Rezension)-ja, ein EBike fast einen Meter in die Höhe zu wuchten ist nicht ganz leicht - insbesondere wenn man das Bike (meines hat 19 kg) an der Sattelstütze befestigen will, wird es richtig schwer -habe es trotzdem alleine geschafft (Hinweis zu einer anderen Rezension)FAZIT*******Für mich: DER Montageständer zu einem guten Preis.

Dies ist bereits der zweite Minour Montageständer, den ich kaufe. Bin damit sehr zufrieden.Hält auch schwere Räder mit dickem Rahmen (Enduro, Downhill), wobei meistens sowieso an der Sattelstütze befestigt wird.Der Kopf ist ein Traum. Lässt sich mit Schnellspanner befestigen und mit Drehgriff auf den passenden Durchmesser einstellen. Danach kann ich das Bike noch direkt am Ständer Drehen. Vorsicht: Hier kann der Ständer auch mal aus dem Gleichgewicht kommen. Der Ständer ist zwar sehr solide und stabil, wenn aber 15 Kilo schräg auf Teil hängen, kommt auch der mal an seine Grenzen. In der normalen Position kein Problem.Pro:-super Kopf mit Schnellspanner und Feinjustierung-Bike lässt sich drehen-sehr standhaftContra:-beim Händischen drehen der Kurbel, bleibt gerne mal das Pedal an der Werkzeugablage hängen (kann man auch weglassen)-verliert in extremlagen das Gleichgewicht (Ständer könnte man vllt auch am Boden befestigen.-vielleicht etwas schwer, wenn man ihn transportieren möchte, stört mich jedoch nichtBin vollstens zufrieden und würde auch noch einen dritten kaufen, wenn nötig :-)

Cavalletto di qualità quasi professionale, premetto che l’ho acquistato per piccoli lavori di manutenzione, per lavorare con maggior comodità e per non dovermi fare aiutare da altre persone, il prodotto è molto robusto, è realizzato in acciaio ed è verniciato in modo impeccabile.Gli accoppiamenti sono precisi e tra le due sezioni del piantone verticale vi è posta una guarnizione.Inoltre, è completo di vaschetta portautensili e minuteria, realizzata in materiale plastico di opportuno spessore.Insomma, non è una cineseria, ma un prodotto pensato per essere durevole e sopportare un uso intenso.Una volta assemblato e livellato al pavimento, risulta privo di giochi e ben stabile sui quattro punti di appoggio, il peso è superiore ai 7 kg.Vi è anche la possibilità di ripiegare la base per occupare meno spazio, ma se non avete problemi di ingombro, sconsiglio di richiuderlo, primo perché il risparmio di spazio non è considerevole, secondo perché chiudendolo, la base, non poggiando sul pavimento con i piedini, potrebbe graffiarsi.Il morsetto è ben dimensionato ed è azionato tramite una manopola a vite, vi sono degli inserti in gomma che proteggono il telaio, acquistabili anche come ricambio.Il morsetto va bene per tubi di diametro massimo di 65 mm ed è ruotabile di 360° lungo l’asse orizzontale, tramite un disco circolare merlato, un tenone azionato da una leva, incastrandosi in questo disco, blocca il morsetto nella posizione desiderata.A causa di ciò, si crea un piccolo gioco, di pochi millimetri, gioco che però non pregiudica assolutamente la manutenzione, ne va inteso come difetto, ma come risultato di una scelta progettuale.La portata massima è di 40 kg, (almeno da libretto di istruzioni, sul sito invece riporta il valore 30 kg).Rispetto ai prodotti analoghi, manca la possibilità di regolare l’altezza di lavoro del morsetto, inoltre non essendo del tutto richiudibile (se non smontandolo) non è agevolmente trasportabile.L’imballo è quello originale Minoura ed è sicuramente molto protettivo, ma l’etichetta avvisa di maneggiarlo con cura, Amazon non ha provveduto ad inscatolare il prodotto con altro imballo.Come ho accennato, non sono un professionista e sicuramente l’articolo è surdimensionato per quelle che sono le mie reali esigenze, valutandolo però in funzione dello sconto proposto da Amazon (pagato circa 111 euro), direi che vale la cifra spesa fino all’ultimo centesimo.Acquisto sicuramente consigliato.P.S. ho revisionato il movimento centrale su una bici anni '70 (che con ogni probabilità non è stato mai smontato), e non posso che confermare le eccellenti doti di stabilità e robustezza.

Fahrräder lassen sich sehr einfach in die Halterung einspannen und Fahrräder halten dann sehr stabil. Arbeiten am Fahrrad wird ungemein erleichtert.Würde ihn wieder kaufen und vor allem hätte ich schon viel früher kaufen sollen.
