Thorne Research - Fractionated Pectin Powder - 5 oz

I believe after talking with different vets that when I added this to my dogs diet it helped him live longer than expected. He had a tumor on his spleen that burst and unfortunately the pathology report came back as cancer. They told us to expect maybe a month possibly two as a timeline after his surgery. I immediately started doing some research because he was just back to his old self and feeling better than ever. So this was an addition to his diet which we changed to completely grain free. This product has been shown to slow down tumor growth. It was worth a try because we were not going to put him through any chemo. He lived another 5 1/2 months without any issues up until his last day. We treasured every extra moment we had with our faithful and loving companion.

My husband has prostate cancer, and his Dr recommended it. He is doing well, and is afraid to stop taking it!He would like it in a liquid form, as it would be easier to take.

I initially purchased this product for someone else who was preparing for cancer surgery. But then, after reading that it was also good for detoxing and getting rid of heavy metals from the body, I started using it myself. I am satisfied with it, and I think it’s a good product; a bit pricey, though. Thank you.

Product is good but it even states on the container that it "uses PectaSol-C from EcoNugenics" ... but it costs more to buy from Thorne. I wish I realized that before purchasing & will be purchasing directly from EcoNugenics in the future.

I bought this thinking that it was different than the PectaSol-C branded MCP which says it contains sodium and potassium.Thorne shows no sodium or potassium on its supplement facts labeling.I have both and they visually looked identical. I wrote Thorne and they wrote back: yes, it contains naturally occurring sodium and potassium; they said they will be changing the label. Product should be recalled.

Was searching for Pectin as part of a surgical biopsy protocol. When I read about a study that showed that regular citrus pectin is not effective and it must be fractionated pectin, Thorne Research was the only product that fit the bill. Very please with the product and it mixed easily into juice or soup to make it palatable.

This product was suggested to me by my Vet for my Boxer after he had a number of mast cell tumors (skin cancer) removed. This plus Thorne's Artecin helps in preventing recurrence. It has been a year and so far my dog is still tumor free, which for mast cell tumors is extremely promising.

This product definitely helped me with detox, but it really cost prohibitive and doesn't last long (one container lasts me only two weeks given the dosage my dr recommended) so I just can't do it. Not sure why modified citrus pectin costs so much since it seems it would be relatively cheap to make..?
