Wake Up, World!: A Day in the Life of Children Around the World

This book is exactly what I wanted! It follows a day in the life of seven different children from different countries, including India, Australia, England, somewhere in Africa, somewhere in South America (sorry I forget the individual countries) and Russia. My daughter was engrossed in it right away and it gave us a really good picture of what life is like for different kids and families around the world. Great teaching resource!

Wonderful story with great pictures and descriptions allowing children to learn and see what other children do throughout the world. Paired with a geography activity allowing students to learn where they are in the world & this book really helped them understand the difference between countries, continents and how geography impacts our daily lives and activities! Great story and a fun read for kids.

In my class we learned about different children from around the world. This was such a nice addition to my class lessons. The children loved seeing the pictures of other children from different parts of the world.

I bought this book for my 2 year old daughters. They love the book, learning about the daily activities of children around the world. It has already taught them lessons, such as everyone doesn't have toys to play with, etc. I love how it follows different children through their daily activities, from waking up, getting ready for their day, going to school, playing, etc. Wonderful book!!!!

Wonderful stories

I can't wait to use this book for a lesson I have planned for my 3rd grade class. There is so much to learn and the students will be able to compare and contrast their culture to one's around the world.

My sons really enjoy this book. It is so interesting to read how other children live - especially children who don't have all the comforts we have.
