This is my second purchase of this brush (only bought a second one because I forgot my first brush somewhere else). I love this brush! For context, I have thick curly hair (about type 3b to type 2a but mostly 3b). This brush detangles my hair so quickly, gives my scalp a nice mild scalp massage and does a great job at maintaining my curls. The brush quality is great, like I said I’ve used my first brush for around 2 years with no issues. The gold “denman” logo only slowly started fade at the end of the 2 years which is great quality to me. Just fyi, I do not submerge my brush or use it in the shower. I would recommend rinsing it after use to maintain a clean brush without any build up. May be hard to clean given the bristles are pretty tight together. I love this brush and probably won’t ever replace it as it’s hard to find a good brush for curly hair!! Highly recommend.

Amazing brush. I didn't expect much and was very pleasantly surprised. Hard for me to use in long hair (I somehow get it tangled every time), but it's so easy with short hair!It didn't appear to work well when my hair was wet, but it was amazing to see the difference with dry hair. Easy and frizz free curls without finger coiling.It also creates great mermaid waves with wavy hair - that appears to be more wavy with every use. 😀 And, there are fewer tangles (i don't know what magic this is).

i just got this brush two weeks ago and i’ve been using it every time i do my hair. for reference i have THICK 3c hair. for anyone with a similar hair type (don’t make the same mistake i did by getting this version), id recommend getting a wider brush with more bristles unless you’re fine with separating your hair in LOTS of little sections to style. that’s what i had to do and it’s made getting ready take a little longer but this brush will give you results instantly. just brushing through a piece of hair once already gives me more definition than any other styling brush i’ve used.overall rating: this brush is REALLY good but make sure to get a larger one if you have thicker hair! i personally think it’s worth the price since other reviews are mentioning how it lasts a decent amount of time

I have somewhat thin, naturally wavy/curly, shoulder-length hair. I wanted a brush for detangling after washing my hair that would not pull out as much hair. This does a good job of that. I see less hair in the brush compared to my Olivia Garden's brush. The rounded shape and shorter paddle does help with putting in a little volume so that it dries not quite so flat as some brushes do. I recommend if you have similar hair to mine.

To start off, I’d like to say that this brush is amazing. It has changed my hair completely and I use it in curly hair routine almost every single day. I have very thick, course hair that I have find trouble finding good products for, so I am happy that I found out about the Denman brush. The purpose of the Denman brush is to, “define curls, detangle, and smooth the hair,” and I can confirm that the description is accurate, and this brush successfully does what it’s supposed to do. This is gentle alternative of detangling curly hair than a regular paddle brush, which is a big NO for curly girls because paddle brushes can cause damage and breakage to already naturally dry curly hair. The Denman Brush has made it easy for me to get big knots out of my hair without causing split-ends. It also causes my hair to clump together and I love how defined my curls come out because of this brush. There are seven rows on the rubber pad and these rows can be removed to create bigger or smaller curl clumps depending on how many rows are kept in. I love that this brush creates such beautiful curls instead of stringy looking hair. I used to have trouble with my hair never clumping together and it would basically look like “Ramen Noodle” hair, but this brush solved this issue. The Denman brush also smoothens my hair and create a uniform sleek curl and prevents my hair to frizz up. The description also says that this brush is, “ideal for creating tight curls, root lift or for shorter hair,” and I’m happy to agree with this statement as well. My curls do look tighter and have more of a coil when I use this brush in a certain way. I’ve noticed that a lot of people don’t know how to use a Denman brush to create coils and will quickly give it a bad review, but there is a specific way to use it. To achieve coily curls, I brush my hair from underneath and start turning the brush to make a spiral. In other words, I coil my hair around the brush. It’s basically the same process as curling your hair with a flat iron. It also does cause my roots to be more voluminous and prevents my hair from becoming flat and sad. I highly recommend the Denman brush to every curly-headed girl out there because I strongly believe that I will become your best friend and make your curly hair routine way easier.
