I was leery of ordering my probiotics online. My daughter has an acute GI issue since Nov 2011 and the GI specialists at Children's Hospital in Boston AND the GI specialist at Mass general emphasize the need for probiotics on a daily basis, esp in her case. They also said the general public should be on a daily probiotics to boost our immune system. I have a friend who is a phD science researcher at Brandeis and he says that the refrigerated kinds are the better, more effective kinds out there, he has seen the research. I have actually been on probiotics for over 2 yrs now, now I am expanding the # of billions of strands of friendly bacteria. 5-8 billion are recommended, in a wide variety. That is key, a WIDE variety. Not all probiotics cover it all.I actually have not been sick in the 2 yrs I have taken probiotics. I used to get an annual sinus infection like clockwork every November. I am expanding my probiotics horizon since I have to be in hospitals & dr offices more often now.I had been buying my Jarrow products at Whole Foods, but now that I am a member of Amazon Prime I am taking advantage of the marketplace more here, and I am pleased with what I am receiving. This order arrived way ahead of the date I was quoted. The bottle was well sealed. The exp date was 5/2013. This is important because I see reviews on here from many different types of perishable products where the esp date is cutting it close - hence your 'good deal', which is no deal at all. My Whole Foods Jarrow probiotics, same kind, was set to expire 1/2013. And it cost $10 more! This wasn't free shipping but it was only 99 cents, what it SHOULD be for a bottle mailed in a yellow padded envelope.Since it is winter I didn't hesitate to order, but if it were summer I might just get it at Whole Foods. They need to stay cold.I will absolutely buy from this seller again.

I contacted Jarrow, and this was the response: "Thanks for your inquiry. Bifidus Balance is temporarily out of stock and is expected to be ready for shipment to retailers by July 19."That being said, this is the only bifidobacterium (B) product that has worked on my IBS. It is primarily just B strains. In desperation, I sought out other brands which were blended with lactobacillus strains and experienced bloating and weight gain. I can't wait for Bifidus Balance!

Came cold shipped! Wasn’t expecting that so that was great. Contains a lot of weird ingredients though and it’s not vegan :(Update after a couple weeks using this my farts and poop smell like a babies would!! Taking s break to see if I can fully contribute it to these but Im pretty sure it’s these. Maybe that’s a good thing? Idk 😂

Disappointed! I am allergic to soy! The product description never mentioned anything about soy, nor was there a photo showing the ingredient list. I was stupid enough to trust the product description thinking that soy is an obligatory thing to indicate on supplements. I was really looking forward to using this supplement specifically due to my allergies, since i found out that bifido-bacteria is the only good bacteria that does not raise histamine levels in your body. Upon arrival of the product, I open the bottle and take a capsule, which results in my lips and face swelling, bad allergic reaction. Only then I study the bottle and see SOY indicated on the back of it. Feeling duped - is the least I can say.. Can not give an evaluation of how good or bad it could be for someone who does not get sick from soy ingredients. Generally Jarrow products are pretty much allergen-free, so this one is news for me.

They’re finally back! : )I first read about these in The Keystone Approach book so I tried them.They are the BEST bifidus combo, at a reasonable price, shipped appropriately in a cool 3 pack! What more could I ask for?Tried others when Jarrow stopped making these available; others don’t even compare.

I first used this product in 2017 and this is the BEST PROBIOTIC THAT I HAVE EVER USED THAT COMPLETELY GETS RID OF MY STOMACH BLOATING--but now I can't find it ANYWHERE ONLINE at NO stores!!!!!! It is sold out EVERYWHERE! I am DESPERATE to get my hands on it again and CAN'T FIND IT! What is happening????

I take this probiotic regularly along with a slew of others. The key to taking probiotics is to have a good variety in your system and not too much of one particular kind. This way the different bacterial colonies keep each other in check.I am happy with the results of my daily regime. Recommend.

Love this item, very great. My husband always uses it and he says he feels wonderful. No gasses, no stomach ache. I even started taking it myself recently. I bought bifidus bacterial for my children too, called: Nature's Way Primadophilus Children, 5 ounces- which is great too! My baby doesn't have gases or colic, nor stomach ache at all. Good bowl movement too. I would really recommend this to all moms that have small (and older) children with gasses/ colic/ stomach ache/ etc... Use it and you will see for yourself. It is worth of buying it. I always buy this and will be purchasing some more soon.

An absolute necessity if you suffer from IBS or other digestive disorders. Some people can't keep the balance of good bacteria to bad bacteria and need to take pro-biotics continually to keep their alimentary canal in good working condition
