How much weight will this hold up to?

I was doing 180lb weighted dips and it bent the metal hoops holding the chain, broke the belt. Id say this belt cannot take more than 180lbs unless you replace the standard hoops with heavy duty harbingers. Had to replace the hoops with heavy duty carabigners. Belt can now take 270lb which is the max amount of plates that will fit on the belt

Can this be used as hip squat belt ?

I'm sure it can, but if you're using 45s they'll probably hit the ground.

Does this dip belt also work as a weight belt? If not, are there any belts out there that serve both purposes?

I was always wondering if there are any belts which serve both purposes because I didn't want to buy two different belts and carrying them together...it would be very inconvenient....and actually I found one...it is WSF Genesis Universal Lifting/Dipping Belt...I'm not sure if I would buy this one though...

does the chain long enough to hold 3 45pounds plates?

Depends on the type of plates -- at my gym they have some 45 lb plates that have notches along the outer edge. I found a better solution though -- I wrap the chain once around a 125 lb dumbbell and the chain is more than long enough. Stand the dumbbell upright to do this.

This belt is a beast. I've been lifting 3+ times a week with relatively heavy loads. 90-115 pounds regularly. Up to 170 pounds (see picture) and the belt shows no sign of damage or decay.It's comfortable and holds everything I can.

Good Quality for the Price

This product is built very well, the price is definitely worth it. My only concern about this product is the rings that connect to the belt. They will eventually pry apart if you lift with heavy loads... I had 135 Pounds handing on the belt and I noticed them slowly prying open. This is not a major concern but it should be something to consider. The chain and the carabiner that came with this belt has still held up very well. I would still recommend this product if your looking for your first weight belt or if your just wanting to add Dips and Pullups as an Accessory movements to your workouts.
