Best Fins!
Sizing: I am using an Aqua Lung/Deep Sea 3.5mm, Caribbean, hard sole boot. My booties are 8 and 10. Aqua Lung does not make half sizes.I am using a medium Nova Fin. It is the regular Sea Wing Nova fin not the Gorilla. The Gorilla is stiffer and intended for people with very strong legs and knees and tech. diving needs.Sizing continued : I am a solid 9.5 medium to wide. My booties are size 8 and 10. That means that if you are using a size 10 in a 3mm boot with a hard sole; the medium is your smallest size that you can use. If your bootie goes beyond a size 10, you must go to the Large. This is only for the Sea Wing Nova fin. If you are using another Scuba Pro fin you must adjust to the other model. Failure to do so will result in a fin that is too small or too big. This fin greatly reduces the strain on my knees.Purchasing: I bought these fins on Amazon. It cost me more than on Ebay. Ebay is cheaper but you have to get the color and possible wrong size that they offer. I opted out for Amazon, so that I could get the color and size that I wanted. Size is the most important. Color is secondary. The fin is positively buoyant. In plain English; It Floats.Bottom Line Up Front: These fins are great! All of my usual equipment is "Military Grade". That means it is heavy and negativly bouyant. At my age and level of injuries, it is not good. Except for my "Zeagel" equipment. My current area of operation is the Carribbean. Warm water diving.Good luck and be safe.

I Love These Fins!
I’m an open water instructor and I’ve owned or used a number of different fins, The Nova is a cut above, try them and you won’t be satisfied with anything else. They are very efficient at both flutter and frog kicks, and yes, they back up well too. The bungee heel and large loop make donning and doffing a snap. They are slightly positively buoyant which I really like. Much of my diving is shore dives in rivers and lakes with poor visibility. Gearing up is often done in the water and if I drop one I don’t have to spend much time looking for it. About the only negative I have about the fin is acceleration. It takes a couple of kicks to get up to speed but the top end is fast, very fast. As for size I use a Mares Triboot in 5mm size 12 with a hard sole. The chart recommends large, barely. I found the fit to be too snug for my liking and went to X-Large, That fit seems perfect.

Difficult to size
I ended up returning this set of fins because we could not get it to fit properly. I recommend going to a local dive shop to try on different fins before purchasing online. Bring your dive boots or socks you plan to wear to try on the fins. These ones come in a great variety of colors. The bungee cord in the back makes them easy to slip on and off between dives. They are a bit heavy but move easily in the water. My husband loves his pair and wears them even when snorkeling or free diving. For me, the top of the shoe box pressed down on the top of my foot in every scenario. The shoe box was also much wider than was confortable for my foot although I do have very narrow feet. According to the size chart, I should be wearing a small, but the small pressed the top of my foot so much it left marks even after short periods of wear. Overall, the fins appear to be very durable and would have been great if they fit me. My search continues.

Awesome fins
Love the fins had to order twice. I ordered med and got large by mistake but Amazon made it right and returned them unused. Though the website suggests a large for my foot 10.5 with 3mm boots I found the medium to fit a lot better. The large just felt like my foot was flipping around in it too much with my boots on. The medium I replaced them with fit snug though.

They were fine when not in the current
Had a quite a bit of trouble in the current with these fins on my first time out. I hope I just need to get used to them but I'm doubtful. They were fine when not in the current.
