Overall good towel bar
This is strong enough to hold 3 large towels. On my door, when there are no towels on it, the unit rattles when the door is opened and closed. It looks nice on the door and is not cumbersome at all.

Nice, sturdy towel rack
I purchased this for my apartment, because they apparently feel we don't need towel bars here. I guess maybe we should just throw them on the floor when we're done showering? Who knows. Anyway, I bought this InterDesign Classico Over the Shower Door Towel Rack in Chrome. I read the reviews here about the screws not fitting, and thought, hmmmm.... maybe it'll be fine now. It was not.The towel rack arrived, and I immediately dug in. While trying to put the 2nd screw in, I realized I had a problem. I only received 5 of the 6 necessary screws. And of those 5, only 2 of them went into the rack. The other 3 were defective. The threads were faulty. Well great. I emailed the company, InterDesign, and explained the issue. Remarkably, they got back to me that same day and took care of my issue. That pretty much NEVER happens. So, I did get this towel rack together. I do really like it. It's surprisingly pretty sturdy. It doesn't wobble back and forth at all. I have it over my bathroom door (the interior door, not a shower door). Its a bit loose, but there are holes where you could screw it into the door, but...apartment. So it slides a bit once in awhile, but that doesn't bother me at all.Overall, I am happy with the shower rack. It does what it is supposed to do. It's nice and sturdy, and I think it'll last awhile. Once I had all the functioning pieces, it was very simple to assemble. Just a matter of screwing in 6 screws.Although I frequently do reviews on products offered to me at a promotional price, this was a personal purchase. I paid full price.I was not asked, nor am I obligated to give a review.

solid towel rack
This is actually a really nice towel holder. It's sturdy and fits on my shower door perfectly with its 2-inch-deep hook. I would have rated 5 if not for the screws. Two screws came already screwed to each of the bars, and their sockets (I'm not sure what they are called, but the "+"-shaped dents on top of screws) were TINY. I have two screwdrivers, both of them are standard size (2pt), but they barely fit. The screwdriver kept sliding or popping out because the dents were too shallow/small. I almost entirely reshaped one of the screws' dent and thought I wouldn't be able to unscrew the thing to assemble the rack.Luckily, I got it to work after trying for 10 minutes, but otherwise, I would have had one less bar to hold my towels, leaving the rack unshapely. Unscrewing, not screwing, was the problem in my case, so I think if they would just not screw them to the bars too hard (or leave the screws in a separate bag), this wouldn't have been a problem.Anyway, other than this trouble of disassembling the parts in the beginning (in order to assemble, ironically), everything was fine. Overall, it's a very good product, especially for the price.

It was a pain to assemble
It comes unassembled, and the horizontal and vertical pieces have to be screwed together. The screws did not go in or out of the metal bars very easily. My biggest complaint is that the screws, instead of coming in a little bag or something, were already screwed into the metal bars. So I had to unscrew them all, then position the bars and screw them back in. What were they thinking? Once it was all assembled, it's a nice looking piece and works well.

2nd one like this
I have had this same rack over the shower door for 5 years and wanted one for the other bathroom. Its a little large for shower doors so without drilling I have inserted two metal screws at the top to prop it in place which keeps it from sliding. The one I ordered for the other bathroom is hung on the back of the entry door into the bathroom and is the perfect size for a standard door. I drilled into the top of the door and inserted two wood screws to prevent shifting. Also no rust observed on the five year old rack. It is too narrow for a standard bath towel but this has not been a problem as the towels are folded in half and layered one per rung allowing them to dry completely in 1/2 hour to one hour given that shower steam is ventilated.

Serves Its Purpose Well
There is not too much you can say about a product like this right? It either works or it doesn't. The things that were important to me is that I be able to still close the door with no interference from the rack, that it be big enough to hold my towel when folded, and that it not scratch the door. This rack fits all the aforementioned and it was easy to put together in less than 5 minutes. It has some rubber/plastic cushion that keeps the door from being scratched and my towels fit perfectly. I ordered the pearl white because it was the cheapest color at the time but turns out it is rather nice looking pearly cream color. It fits perfectly and there is no interference when I open or close the door. I definitely recommend this rack if you are short on space or don't want to or can't install a towel bar on the wall.

Came REALLY DIRTY AND STICKY
I got this towel rack for the back of my bathroom door because our bathroom only has space for one bath towel to dry at a time. In terms of functionality, an open bath towel cannot even fit on the rod, so using it to dry a bath towel will not work. Additionally, the bars are VERY close together, so you would have to skip the middle bar to hang anything.Next, the nails and screws do not tighten fully or uniformly (some very loose, some kinda loose) so it was extremely rickety.**MOST IMPORTANTLY, it came very sticky and dirty. It was covered in something. This tells me A) their warehouse is quite dirty, or B) they sold a returned product. All I know for sure, they have poor quality control. I washed it, which got the sludge off most of it, but the screws ran BLACK. It was pretty disgusting. I have never written a poor review on Amazon, but I felt I had to share this with people. Would give 0 stars if I could.
