Very good value
For the money, a very fine fishing rod. Don't expect an expert fishing rod, but has nice casting action, reels smoothly, and the kids love the lights. Given that you can pay 20 for a Mickey Mouse kids rod that will fall apart on first cast, this is a great deal. I pulled in a 14" mackerel today, and it was quite a fight, and the rod did its job.

Nice Lights
Purchased last year; when night fishing lights on rod are noticeable. It's a lady's rod. Lights show when you whind the rod. Can only see lights at night.

This fishing pole is amazing.
This fishing pole is amazing. When I reel it in, it is always a party. I like that. It is better when I catch fish... When I catch the fish I feel like they too are having a disco party, and frankly, I think less about a hook in their poor little fishy mouth (or through their eye for that matter).

My did love
My wife LOVES her fishing pole. It was hard to find a fishing pole that was strong and girlie. I seen one exactly like this one in a tackle shop that was 6'6 and they wanted 60+ dollars. I got this for 40+ dollars and it is 8'0. As of 7/21/2013 the part that holds the reel started spinning and know the pole is no use, it's only been a month or so and having issues. I have purchased 25 dollar combos that hold up better than this. Very disappointed

Great rod, sloppy line.
This was the bomb. People at the beach thought we were rock stars. Only one complaint. The line was preloaded when I got it, and I found out after the first cast, the line had been spliced, with tape. Birds nest!!!! Very disappointed.

My grandson calls it the mega-shooter!
10-year-old grandson immediately took it over when his first cast shot a 1/16 oz lure about 70 ft. It's his grandma's rig but I ordered one for him, burnt orange, for Christmas.

Got if for a 4 year old. She absolutely loves it. It's lights up when using it. It's her 1st open face fishing pole. She picked up the operation of it quickly and ended up chatting the biggest bass I ever seen come from that river
