Superb onions, there super big

Quick delivery. Lovely onion sets. Good value for money. The only problem was that two of the paper bags separating the different varieties had torn so it was difficult to identify sets. No so much of an issue for me as I’m a novice gardener. In the plus side , there was much more than 150 bulbs.I will certainly order again.

We’ve planted these and so far they seem to be doing okay. The reason I’ve given these 4 stars instead of 5 is that each type of sets was in a sealed plastic bag, which we didn’t realise, so when we came to open and plant them, a few had gone mouldy and rotten. If we’d checked, or if there had been a note to say they were sealed in plastic we would have opened them to let the air in. But hey ho, there are still enough left, so hopefully we’ll have a good crop in a few months.

The reasonably good winter onion sets arrived promptly, but there are two points, which make the purchase less than perfect:First, the picture and the description in the website is misleading because there were absolutely none of the Red Baron sets in the package, all were white onion sets. Impossible to distinquish, which ones are the Centurion and which ones are the Stuttgarter Giant.Secondly, The onion sets were enclosed in a tightly knotted plastic bag and were swetting theremiserably ready to fall a prey to fungi and destruction. Thankfully only a handful was destroyed beyong recovery. I spread the rest on to a tray to dry and recover before the weather allows me to plant them out.

These are undoubtedly the best onion sets I have purchased. Great size bulbs and very healthy. Also 3 great varieties of winter onions ar a reasona price. Bought them last year and had terrific results.

The actual quantity is a guideline. They added more to the bag so really happy !
