12 Site Aeroponic Plant Cloner - Original Clone Bucket 12 Black Edition From Hydro West

I purchased this device two months ago and put some cuttings in it for spring planting and ten days later all had roots. This time for my second run I doubled up cuttings at each site and within 6 days 7 had roots. The buckets size is sufficient and I kept my first run in it until they had roots almost a foot long and very thick. Keeping them in there for that long or until they developed quite an extensive root system led to explosive and rapid growth once transplanted to soil. At least in my case. If you are having trouble with cloning a plant this can and will likely work for you. It's an excellent product. The most important thing I can advise you to do is to order net cups being the inserts themselves can slip through. Other than that it's great. Still works as of 11–9-17

I have been cloning in rock wool for years with very slow results. But since I got my bucket, 100% success each time, with roots in four days and transplanted at day 7. Just follow the directions on how to clone and you'll be fine. Long enough stem. Clean razor blade. Quality rooting hormones. Watch your water temps. The little foam plugs suck though. Work ok the first go around but I replaced with some more wedge shaped ones.

Works great. Gave up the site notched for the cord. Dropped a fish tank thermometer probe through the collar at that site. Collars are a bit thin, Bought thicker collars and 2" net pots which I cut the bottoms off to avoid pulling the roots through once rooted. Doubled the cuts in 1 site, got 11/12 first time.Pump heat raised water temp by 10-15*. I suggest using a thermometer with it. Next time Ill set up 1/2" off the floor to increase air flow around unit and hopefully keep the heat down.

The good:The unit itself is nice and does what it's supposed to do.It does it quietly.It comes with enough chemical samples for several cleanings/charges.The bad:The foam plugs should have a step on their edges so they don't get knocked into the bucket.The fitting between the pump and the manifold is of poor quality. It's 2 separate fittings that were either hot-melted or glued together. Need I say it didn't hold up? Yes? OK, it didn't hold up. A trip to the hardware store got me back up and running in no time.It's still a good buy even though I should have gotten the 8 site version.

it's a learning process product works wonderfully I just have to learn how to put the cuttings from a lemon and lime tree in it and make them grow I guess I'm impatient I think I added too much chemical to the water so I have to start over. The product works great pump works great everything works wonderfully I just need more experience

Plugs are kind of difficult to work with they keep falling in the water I did what another reviewer did I bought 2 inch baskets and cut the bottom of the basket then installed in bucket and used the plugs that came with the baskets and they fit really good the designed way the plugs fit to loosely

works great, good price. simple instruction sticker on the side so i cant loose it. came w rooting compound + nutrients , everything you will need to get going. ive used it for 3 rounds of two weeks each with 100% success. allmost idiot proof. with regular cleaning and replacing the neoprene inserts i expect this to last a long time and consider it a good investment

Very well made and simple to use. Now if I can find something to clone again I'll be a very happy grower.09/07/13: Just used it again and roots were growing within 6 days! I can't say that about soil cloning!
