MoKo Verizon Ellipsis 8 Case (Model QTAQZ3) 2014 Release - Ultra Lightweight Slim Shell Standing Cover for 8-Inch Verizon Ellipsis 8 Tablet, Black (NOT FIT Ellipsis 8 HD 2016 Release)

Good case. The case is light and slim, which is good because most cases bulk up the tablet a few inches. The main part of this case is a hard "shell" on the back and the tablet pops right into the shell with ease on the first try. I picked it up and shook it around a bit to see if it would fall out or something in case I was walking or holding it, nope, its in there solid as can be. The front cover is a bit flimsy, but does its job to keep the front covered and safe from cracking if you drop it on its face. I want to say, do not think this is like the smart wake/sleep cases out there where the cover is solid and locks into place nicely. The cover closes nicely, but is held in place by a small magnet area on the side of the cover. Will this break or fall off? I doubt it, but if something happens to the magnet, the worse that happens is it doesn't stay closed on its own, no big.Finally, the prop up feature is a bit challenging at first, but after a few tries you get it and figure out how it works as there is no real instructions on how you should do it. Its just a matter of folding it up behind the tablet like shown in the picture for the product.Overall, a nice case for the cheap price.

Update: The magnets began to pull out several months in due to the glue failing I assume. Its interesting because the magnets are not very strong to begin with. Several months later the plastic around the magnets began cracking and broke apart. I am not rough at all on the case and it mostly stays in its own pocket in a backpack or at home on the desk or bed. In addition the stand got even worse over time. Now I would likely drop the rating from 3 to 1 stars, but because its only an 8.99 case I know its not expected to last forever. Still, I was expecting more and will drop it 1 star from 3 to 2.Original: I have enjoyed this case, but It does have a couple of issues. First off its magnetic closure is not very strong and is not 2 way, meaning if you open the case, you have no way to seal the front cover to the back. You just have to hold it or let it flop loose. Secondly, the support of folding it into a triangle is fairly weak and unless you have a very stable flat surface, it wont hold it up. It also has no way to support it vertically, or change the angle, and no way to lock it.At the end of the day its really only useful as protection and you might want to get a fully enclosed case instead.

I purchased this product for my husband’s new Ellipsis tablet. It fit perfectly and looks really good. He is very happy with the quality and the protection it gives his new tablet. He now can carry his new tablet around wherever he goes.It has a magnetic closure and it works really well. Snaps open or closed. My husband uses the stand position on this tablet case quite often and says it works really well.My husband likes the fact that it is lightweight and made of good quality materials and looks like it will be very durable and last a good while.We are very pleased with this purchase and think it was well worth the price. The reason we purchased it was because the Verizon store was all out of the cases for this particular tablet, and they were way more than the price we paid for this one. Well worth the wait.

This is a great case - I have bought 4 now (three different tablets, including a personal daily-use tablet) and I have been quite pleased, as they have done a great job protecting my tablets - even from some hard drops. It's not going to protect as well as some of the armoured cases, but for my expected level of abuse, they have done quite well.The single issue I have had is also one that's easy to fix - after about six months of daily use, the tiny magnets in the magnetic catch will work themselves loose - and I have used a cyanoacrylate glue to glue them back in place.

This case has not held up at all. The plastic dried out and proceeded to fall apart... chunks coming off over the last ten months. I've only used it for around fourteen months... very poor quality. The magnetic bars to close the cover and turn it off fell out so I have to manually put the screen to sleep. It has lost all the stiffness in the cover also. I've used other brands that held up well but this has to be the worst one I've ever seen. I do not recommend this item.

Well, that is what I get for not reading reviews like I normally do! This is cheap, it doesn't hold the tablet like shown so you can set on a surface and actually use it in the case. It would protect the tablet, but without being able to prop it open and use it, it is worthless to me. They need to remove the picture and be honest about what they are selling. I just wasted money and now need to find something else. Very disappointed.

This did not hold up well at all. Shortly after having it, the plastic on the corners broke off. It was never dropped or bumped so still not sure how unless it was already broken when I received it. The magnets don't stay in the slot so the magnetic closure is useless and potentially dangerous if you have a small child.

Comes as describe, but the magnets used to keep it closed are cheep after a two months they both fell out and the case cracked on the edge. It wasn't "abused" it never even fell, we closed it and it cracked and broke off. A little super glue fix the problem and it works great. It's not a bad case and I would probably buy again.
