Treadmill Doctor Belt for Healthrider Softstrider EX Model Numbers 297870, Sears Model 831297870

This belt replaced a padded carpet belt. It was a bit of a science project to replace the belts out...but I'm extremely happy with the result. Belt seems to be robust to daily use.

Even though this belt was not identical to the one it replaced, it works just fine. It does not have the thick pad that the original had, but this fact was disclosed in the description so that I knew about it in advance. As far as I know, there are no more belts for purchase exactly like the original one in existance today.

I was concerned this would not be good due to great price but it installed perfectly and is working well.

I purchased this treadmill belt for my 15 year old Healthrider treadmill. I actually purchased it directly from Treadmill Doctor because I wanted to be sure this was the right belt for my model and to discuss the possibility of returning the tread belt if my service man found more wrong with my old unit. I was told there would be no problem returning the belt within 30 days, even if it was used. I told Gary that it would not be used nor even installed if my repairman felt my treadmill had more wrong with it.Well, as it turns out, my treadmill had a crack in the frame and the repairman told me he would not recommend replacing the belt.I called Treadmill Doctor for a return authorization and it was at that time that I was informed that they have a 20% restocking fee! That's right, Gary never thought to mention that to me when I was discussing returns! Thanks a lot!After 4 un-returned phone calls and 2 abrubt emails, I was left with no choice except to either sell this tread belt on my own or lose 20% of the purchase price and pay for the return shipping too!I feel since I actually spoke to their salesman and specifically asked about the return policy, if I had been told of the high restocking fee, I never would have bought the tread in the first place!Very bad customer service. All their CS numbers are just answering machines and they don't return calls!If there were a zero-star rating, I would have selected that as my rating.

With winter coming our treadmill is back in action. No, it is not the neoprene and carpet padded belt that came with the unit, Healthrider did a great thing with that belt by spoiling us...and why can't we get those again? Our machine is like 15 years old and we are just replacing the original belt now...not bad! But I digress, this is a good belt, it went on easily, fit fine, and now I am happy. Thanks

good replacement belt. my treadmill took a soft belt but couldnt get original style they recomended this one and it works good, still using it 10-6-15

seems to work, no instruction or tips on aligning it.
