All the locks in my new home are Schlage. They are easy to install and look great and I never have any problems with them.

I installed 5 of these 4 came keyed the same one was keyed different.. two numbers on key code where swapped. example 4 where coded 44545 and one was 44554. an easy mistake

Have to leave a key in!
I am trying to keep everyone out of my garage including my young children. My goal with this purchase was to have the ability to lock my garage door so that nobody without a key can go into the garage from the house, and just as important keeping someone who may have broken into the garage to not have easy access to my house. I went to lock it and found that I can not use the lock from the outside unless I leave the other key in it. Safety feature so you dont lock yourself in the house, sure. BUT I HAVE DANGEROUS TOOLS IN THE GARAGE AND CAN NOT HAVE MY CURIOUS CHILDREN IN THERE WITHOUT SUPERVISION! I wish it was clearly stated that this device was made in this fashion.

Why pay more?
I needed a double cylinder deadbolt and the local Lowe's and Home Depot are too costly. Amazon came thru for me again. This is nice, came when promised and easy to install...Thanks.

finicky, plain
I like things to look simple but this might be a bit too simple and plain to the point where it looks a little like a utility or commercial lock. It is on the doors with the Schlage camelot handle and that bring more decorative this ends up looking nice and coordinates ok.Installation seemed more complicated that it should be. I bought 2 and the first one I could not get installed though this is probably because the door is not standard at all. The second one was installed by my handyman on a brand new and standard door. He had trouble with it. After getting installed it was almost impossible to turn (w/ door open) and when I googled this I found that both sides need to be perfectly aligned for it to work and this seems to be unusual or more difficult than with other locks.All in all it is ok but I am not overly impressed!
