Star Wars: X-Wing - Imperial Veterans

This expansion makes the TIE Defender far more deadly and a much more reasonable addition to your force given the points. TIE/x7 Title Card, you lose the cannon and missile from your upgrade bar and gain 1 evade token when you execute a 3, 4, 5 speed maneuver for -2 points. My preference is the TIE MK 2 Engine Mod Card, which gives the TIE Defender 10 green maneuvers paired with Countess Ryad. The Countess can reveal any straight maneuver and treat it as a K turn...34 points for her in the TIE Defender. That combo creates an incredibly maneuverable dog fighter that can get an evade token nearly every round.The TIE/D Title Card, allows you to attack with a secondary weapon that costs 3 or less points and then attack with your primary weapon...every round...for 0 points. Equipped with the Ion Cannon, Flechette Cannon, or Tractor Beam you can put stress/ion on targets while still taking your primary attack of 3. For the TIE Bomber you get the TIE Shuttle Title Card, which allows you to use it instead of a Lambda Class Shuttle. Lower cost and improved maneuverability compared to the Lambda Class Shuttle, with the caveat of no crew cards costing more than 4 points (no Emperor Palpatine). In spite of that, you can turn a TIE Bomber into a decent support shuttle that can stay in formation with other smaller ships.

Great service from Amazon's staff. The 4-star grade, however, is due to the fact that the expansion itself isn't quite as useful as others sold for the same price or cheaper. Although the update on the Tie-D makes it 100% worth it, fixing this otherwise broken expansion and making it VERY fun to play, it feels like the addition of the Tie-bomber could've been set aside in favor of another fighter expansion released so far - such as tie fighter itself (later updated on the assault carrier expansion), tie advanced (later updated on the imperial raider expansion) or phantom (which actually doesn't quite need an update). Anyway, that's a very personal opinion, since I'm personally not fond of bombers whatsoever.In any case, great expansion - a must have for any empire player that wants to have lots of fun and feel the real power of the tie defender. I dare say that defenders can only be played with the pilots and upgrades included in this expansion (aside from Vesery, who can be kinda useful in very specific builds).

If you enjoy playing X-Wing and you fly Imperials, this pack is probably some of the strongest box you can get for your money. The included pilots fit the design of the ships wonderfully. The new Tie-D titles are both strong and add new playstyles for whichever you use. A particularly nasty combo, all of which is included in the box, is Tomax Bren with Crackshot (cancel an Evasion EVERY ROUND) and Countess Ryad with Tie/x7 for maximum ship placement. Great cards for great ships.

This is a wonderful expansion for X-wing. It makes Bombers and Defenders playable. Comes with doubles of the good cards, and helps add some utility to the Imperials.Tractor beam on a defender that can now perform it's primary weapon attack is nice.Tie Shuttle gives you a nice cheap way to push some support up the field.

I do so love the imperial side of this game. I love the new changes to the Tie Defender. The bomber finally makes its way into my squads now as well with the new changes. A plethora of new and very playable upgrades.

My box was slightly damaged so it made it a bit harder to remove the tie defender from the plastic. Not sure if it was from shipping or not.

I own every non epic ship released for this game. They are all fantastic, well detailed models with solid rules. I have received two ships that were damaged and customer service has replaced those quickly with little trouble.

TIE x7 is one of the best upgrades in the game, even after the recent FAQ nerf. If you like your TIE defender, you'll like it even more after you get this pack.

Muy buenas adquisiciones, la calidad de las Miiniatures no están a discusión. Sin duda seguiré comprándolas, a pesar de que no participo del juego. Me encantaron, sobretodo el Tie Defender.

Arrived the day before the expected delivery date. Love when that happens. Did have slight damage to the box but didn't affect the actual ships due to the plastic shell it comes in.

This expansion is a must own for any imperial player. The tie defender upgrades alone make the ship worth flying and makes them viable. The tie bomber is really cool too. The expansion has some great upgrade cards!
