Vivitar PA-705 Air Purifier and Ionizer

it's beyond .CHEAP! the low button never worked. I would not recommend this to anybody

I had one before and loved it been using for years. Does a great job and takes up very little space. So glad I was able to find it here, couldn't wait to order another for another room. When you find something that works you stick with it and buy more, this is that product for cleaning smells out of your room. Leaves everything smelling clean, and yes works on cigarette smells too! I highly recommend.

It meets my need

The media could not be loaded. Too small. Cannot tell if they work or notNo air flow heard from them. Very disappointed in product. Has a strange smell coming from them. I feel like I have been TAKEN!!

I just got this yesterday to use at my office, because of a fragrance issue with one of my nearby coworkers. I also sit under a vent. I will try to post updated reviews.1/11/2018So far it has run for about 2 hours on "whisper" which is the air ionizer option. The air smelled interesting, I guess its "pure air", not sure since I've never smelled purified air before. I was not so stuffy after two hours, which is a big deal to me. I also haven't been able to smell the offending fragrance yet. It does have a whirring sound when it is running,,which can be attributed to white noise I guess. I don't really notice it. Will post more reviews over the next few months.1/13So I've had this purifier for two days, and it seems to be doing a good job. I noticed that my nose isn't a stuffy when I've got it turned on during the day at work. The only issue that is a preference is that the machine has what they call "white noise". I'm not used to that, but I'm good at tuning noise out at work so this issue may cease to be an issue for me. The air quality when this thing is running is definitely noticeable. I would still keep this one at three stars. Definitely changes air quality in immediate vicinity. The instructions say 300 ft, but I am inclined to think that its more like within 10-40 ft of the machine. Which for office space is pretty good.

I don’t think this thing even blew air at all. I could barely feel it moving the air for the price a cheap fan would move more air then this thing. I purchased originally to remove smells my larger ionizers do. This one did nada. Returned for refund.

Just works great and that is all I need to say.

Emits an horrible burnt plastic type smell....but its quiet.
