This toy is incredible, it is very durable and well made. It is very educational and fun. Through your smart phone you set it up and can control it with an app which is very useful. It has so many saying phrases and songs. I love that you can choose what stage your child is on, like stage one counts to ten and does abcs, there is three stages,and it lets you customize their favourite food colors and animals, the privacy setting is great for being in public it will not say my child's name for privacy, lullaby mode is great as well for night time it's very charming and soothing. The app also has things to help with brushing teeth, singing happy bday, potty time, eating time, and even as far as if your a military parent. I love the different things it does, like clapping hands together makes a clap and a hand on the tummy makes a drum sound, it helped my childs motor skills. It provides learning and endless entertainment. They only complaint I have is it takes four double A batteries and that can be costly, but my kid loves this so much it's worth it.

My lil nephew absolutely loves this Elmo. Granted the functions that it has does require the child to be old old enough to at least talk or even walk, I believe they'll get better use out of it. All around, great buy. I even had a fun time playing with it with him. The only thing that really sucks, is that it does not come in the manufacturers box. It actually comes in a pain brown box with Elmo inside a plastic bag. It sinks, because it was a gift to him. Lucky Amazon was great about it and refunded my money and let me keep it, but that's only cause I brought it up abs asked if that is okay. Otherwise they would not of offered it. Before doing that, they sent out a replacement for the 1st one saying that one would be in the manufacturers box and it still wasn't, so due to that it wasn't on time for his 1st bday. I told them that and came off as unhappy,so in the end it worked out great and they were so nice.

A Christmas present for my great grand daughter, but I should have had it shipped in its original package because it was shipped in a bag with the small instruction booklet, which doesn't explain much. The box explains what features there are and other activities available, almost wanted to ask Amazon for a box to present it with. When it arrived I was disappointed to see it in a bag, I had to trim long fibers and almost could not find the battery box, it makes me wonder if it was new, didn't care for frustration free package, it was my first time doing that, won't do it again, but I'm sure she'll love it and she won't care about a box.

Read the description of what you're ordering before you give a perfectly good toy 1 star over "frustration free packaging". If you want the fancy box, go to Target or Toys R Us. However we were more interested in saving $10.Anyways, this Elmo is great. The range for connection is actually pretty good. Don't let the stock picture creep you out, it's actually a cute doll. It does shed, but ours doesn't do it a considerable amount thankfully. If your child loves Elmo, this is an amazing present! Any glitches with the app I would be hopeful could be fixed with an update which is my only complaint. It has a ton of customizability. It's not an obnoxious toy either. After a few minutes of your child not playing with him, he's quiet! I also wanted to put it out there that the app has a "parent helper" feature for military parents. It's super sweet!

I was hesitant to purchase an elmo for so much money, but the gently used version is just like new. Seriously not a stain anywhere on it. Elmo now goes everywhere with my two boys, and being able to have it tell them to eat and other things has been awesome. The only downside I've found is after you put it in lullaby mode, your toddler can flip the switch on and off to reset it back to play mode. They are no longer allowed to sleep with their Elmos.

This is an amazing toy - it is programmable with the child's name, and is very animated with its talking function - but after about 7 months of use, the speaker started going bad so elmo's voice was no more, though his mouth moved. My daughter still loves the toy because I think she really believes it's the Elmo she sees on TV that she loves....but sad that it no longer works. I don't think she was terribly abusive - it just went bad.Also, Elmo will get dirty over time unless you are fastidious about cleaning it.That said, we called customer service and they sent us a different animated elmo toy new - but doesn't really seem to do as many things as this toy. I think Hasbro has a real winner here because of its level of interactivity - if they can figure out how to make it more durable. I'd pay more for one that wasn't so cheaply made that could last, because my daughter loves it. Kudos to the company for at least making a warranty experience easy to deal with.

I bought this for my niece because she loves Elmo. This product is awesome because you can configure it and make it say the child's name. My Niece was one and a half at the time and liked it for a couple of days. She then started to scared when Elmo would talk LOL. I don't know if it was just her or what but when Elmo would talk she would sort of freak out and think Elmo was real. I would recommend this product since you can play games, sing songs, learn, and configure it.

My 2 yr old son loves this, carries Elmo everywhere. This morning it was cold and he asked me to get a jacket for Elmo, best $35 i've spent. The app works great and is a great tool to help with Potty training and our toothbrush routine. Elmo is not too big or top heavy and my son can carry him with ease. Only downside is that the app only has 3 games and they can get old pretty quick. Looking to buy again for my nieces 2 yr old birthday coming up
