Mares Thermo Guard 0.5 Short Sleeve Top Scuba Diving Wetsuit

I love this item. It met my needs completely. I have used the shirt for several weeks now and found it to be top quality. I needed a shirt while in water aerobics class to keep warm. The pool we hold class is shared with a swim team and the water is cooler. I was getting chills by the end of class. I found this shirt online and gave it a try. I am now very comfortable during class and no more chills. I love the feel of the shirt. It is all rubber yet soft and easy to wear. I like the style of the shirt. Water gets between the shirt and skin but you seem to stay warmer with this on. It insulates your body from the colder air. I like keeping my upper body free from the air exposure while doing certain exercises. I did learn the shirt requires taking care of. Don't throw it in a bag and expect it to last. It must be hung up and allowed to air dry. Turning it inside out to expose both sides. It will drip water so you may need a towel to catch the drips. It is easy to get on. It is a little tricky to get off. I roll it up from the bottom until I get enough to grasp and pull up and off. You must be careful it is rubber and will tear if pulled too hard. It sticks to your skin. A caution, with the shirt is rubber and will tear or puncture if caught on a locker or sharp item. I would buy shirt this again. I wish I had found it years ago. If you need a shirt to help you stay warmer in the water consider this item.

The product shipped in with no issues and the quality is just fine. The issue is that I wear XXL shirt size, so I order the Mares Thermo guard in a XXXL. When it arrived and I tried it one, I had to double check the size, b/c it fits like its between a Lg and XL not a XXXL. Do this it sized 2 to 3 times smaller than actual size.

This is a great, lightweight protection for surfing. It also keeps me warm. Keeps the wind off, and makes a good rash guard. Fits good, and last a long time. I wear it everytime I surf.

I go scuba diving in the philippines where a wet suit is kind of overkill for protection. Regular thin nylon rash guards are so damn hot when dry and chilly when wet. This thin neoprene shirt keeps me cool before a dive if soaked first in water but warm enouch to prevent wind chill when I am back in the boat after I dive.

Used as a top half of a wetsuit on a recent diving trip, and I was very comfortable!
