Get ready for another awesome series by Lauren Gilley!
Colin O'Donnell is the half brother of Felix Lecuyer (Mercy in Fearless - Dartmoor series), although he didn't discover it until he was an adult. Colin on the surface appears to be another good time guy in the Lean Dogs series but his character is just as complex as all the other characters in the Dartmoor/Lean Dogs series. Once he digests the news of his mother's betrayal Colin initial reaction was to kill Mercy (as if anyone could but read Half My Blood). Somewhere along his journey he realizes that he must make peace with Mercy and Colin finds himself on his way to the Amarillo chapter where he meets Jenny Snow, younger sister of Derek Snow (Candyman).Jenny has been surviving horrific spouse abuse for seven years. Jenny locks all of her deepest emotions under a heavy duty lock and key. But there is attraction between Colin and Jenny. Both Colin and Jenny are two wounded and vulnerable souls trying to find their way in life. In Snow in Texas you get to meet Candy, Jinx, Fox, Gringo, Cowboy, Blue, the twins Catcher and Cletus and finally Pup.Snow in Texas is an absorbing and terrific start to the Lean Dogs Legacy series. It picks up where the Dartmoor series left off and it's a smooth transition from one series to the other. If you're looking for a great MC series, check out Dartmoor and Lean Dogs.

Great read!
Interesting read. Great start to the series, but since it was a spin off I felt lost sometimes because there was background information that I didn't know. I know the author tried to fill us in stuff, I still felt out of the loop.Colin is something else...wow hot! I wish I knew more about him though. Not sure he is prospect material he isn't much of a follower. He does have a mind of his own. He isn't always right or wrong, but he knows the difference.Jenny, wow she has gone through so much! She is one tough cookie. I should have figured out the end, but I am glad for it! I like how she doesn't take Colin's BS. Interesting girl who is finding herself againCandy, oh my, he is....well woah, not sure how to describe him but I sure wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley. He loves his family and his MC. He will do anything to protect them and I mean anything. I love how he got his name!Good read, but I was missing stuff to give it a 5 star. I guess I am going to have to read the series it spun off of.

YAY another Cajun monster to love
Totally love this series, so glad to see Mercy and Ava in this book as well but Colin's story was great. Finally Mercy and Colin agree to resign to the fact that they are (half) brothers. Although it totally killed Mercy to find out his father betrayed him, with Ava's help he finally understood that was not his or Colin's fault.Jenny - WOW, her story is heartbreaking but she has the club and most importantly her brother to lean on. Eventually she learns to also lean on Colin and that gets her through defending herself and ultimately redeem herself with her ex.Read the series to really enjoy this and the other books but I do highly recommend them. I finally finished reading all the books in the Lean Dogs and Texas Lean Dog series anxiously awaiting on the next book - just saying...

COLIN AND JENNY
Starting out just as good as The Dartmoor LEAN DOGS series. Colin, Mercy's half-brother, finds his feet and other half in the Amarillo, Texas Chapter of the LEAN Dogs. Candyman, the VP, brings Colin on as a Prospect where he meets Candy's sister, Jenny,. She had been brutalized by her then husband, the former VP. After his demise with the Dogs, he returns. There is plenty of trouble still looming over the Dogs and the action will continue in the next book -Tastes Like Candy.

3 1/2 stars
I have been looking forward to this series about Colin after meeting him in the previous series. I had loved Mercy and since Colin is his half brother, I wanted Colin's book. Colin and Jenny's book was good, but it felt rushed. It wasn't until the last 1/3 of the book where the action seemed to happen. I felt like this needed more MC action, and we needed to meet more of the club than we did. I liked Colin and Jenny, but I felt the love story aspect was more than the biker book that I really wanted.

Another awesome Lean Dogs story!
I love the Lean Dogs MC. Lauren Gilley books are like stepping onto a film set and living in the action alongside the great characters. This is the sweetly and hilariously told story of Colin and Jenny. Much like Gilley's previous works the camaraderie of brotherhood and family life inside the MC is ever present while infused with much humor, love, and danger. I enjoyed every minute of this shorter tale told from multiple points of view. Colin and Jenny give something to each other neither planned for as Colin settles into life in Texas as a Lean Dog under the watchful eye of the hilarious Candyman. I can't wait for more!

4 stars
I loved books 1-5 of the Dartmoor Series. That series got better and better with each book. Those books were amazing. They deserved more than 5 stars. I liked this book. I always love this author’s characters. This book was slightly inferior to the original series but enjoyable because it had a connection to the previous series. We were given glimpses of Mercy. Impossible man to forget.

Excellent Series Spin-Off
I really enjoy Lauren Gilley. The characters are well developed, the plot is strong, and there are the occasional twist. She does a great job of using descriptive words and developing the surroundings so it is like you are there. It does help to read the books in order to understand the characters.

An author who deserves more recognition
Lauren Gilley isn't given enough praise for her books and for this reason I feel the need to write a review. Snow in Texas is a 3 part spin off from the Dartmoor series and I only realised I'd missed these books when I went to read lone Star (feeling I was missing some information and characters), I stopped after a couple of chapters bought this book and read non stop on my day off all the way through. I just loved Colin who was willing to wait for Jenny to be ready for love, these bikers have a real soft center when it comes to their old ladies, plenty of angst, plot lines and twists as is always the case in Laurens books.

Texas Treat
I've been a fan of Lauren's books since reading the Russell and walker series a few years ago but I think there is something a little extra special about the Lean Dog boys!!This one is a spin off about the Texas chapter with Colin and Jenny, I loved Jenny a lot she was still strong and sassy despite what she's been through and Colin was a lot like Mercy but just a bit softer! Their relationship was lovely to watch and you got a splash of Mercy and Ava which is always a treat. Lastly there was Candyman..wow..he had a lovely relationship with Jen and I can't wait to dive into his book!I don't get paid to read books (unfortunately) or write blogs, I just love to read and this author never fails to remind me why, don't even think about it just buy it :)

My Kind of Book
Lauren Gilley is an author I have only come to know over the last 6 months. Having had the opportunity to read the complete Dartmoor series I was blown away by the quality of this authors writing, the interaction of the characters in each book and the complete build up of the relationship between Lean Dogs UK and USA.This is a "spin off) and brings us Colin half brother of Mercy from Dartmoor book 1 and I am so glad we are introduced to Colin. Lauren Gilley will be always be an automatic read for me. Her writing is sublime and her stories are just so believable.

worth every penny
I don't know that I can add much more to all the previous reviews. If you have just found this book by accident browsing and you are a fan of a really well written gritty, honest love story that just happens to be a kick ass MC book too, then download it now but start with the first in the lean dogs series. I lose myself in her books every time. Just brilliant.

Yes
A great mix of biker, love, violence, deceit and did I mention the hot love and biker dudes. This is an off shoot series but the original is great too.
