You can get an extension at Home Depot if it's too short

Q: Does it fit a clawfoot bathtub?

Yes, but this is a plastic fitting designed to be inside a wall with the discharge tube extending downward. It is not attractive. Usually, a chrome drain kit is used for an exposed application like a clawfoot tub. The push open and close drain is available for any threaded tub drain. Also note that your water supply lines will attach to the same side of the tub, so you have to plan proper spacing.
