As a leather craftsman, I use a lot of glue, so I want my glue to stay as fresh as possible. This glue pot has two advantages to my needs. First it is $7-$10 less than other look-alikes. Just a few bucks but add in the second advantage and it is a lot! Secondly, the seal that covers the actual glue is not flexible, but is a heavy solid cover, unlike others that have a flexible rubber cover. This will always provide a better seal, if placed properly on the glue pot. I paid less for my glue pot with a better lid that keeps my glue fress longer! Win-Win for me!

As others have mentioned, there is no seal so the glue dries out quickly which defeats the purpose of the glue pot. Unfortunately by the time you figure that out the return window has closed. It seems sturdy enough but you will have to modify it heavily to make it work. We need a new brush too now because the original is as hard as a rock. That makes it even more expensive.

The functionality of this product is exceptional. It has solved my issues of twisting the lid off my glue when it seals - with this glue pot, simply pull the brush and it’s ready to go.

Works good but had to seek the seam with hot glue so it doesn’t dry out.

This item seems to be well built and well thought out. When cleaning up the metal reservoir, they opened a bubble which causes the contact cement to leak out. I don't feel I should be required to fix a brand new item in order for me to use it. I cleaned the contact cement away from the leaky hole and place a piece of clear tape over it. No help. I can come up with a better fix but why should I have to.UPDATE: The second picture shows my fix. I installed a pop rivet it seems to be working well. Better quality control is needed.

I bought this for use with contact cement, and I am very pleased. I am most impressed with the fact that it is essentially self-sealing. Contact cement such as Barge which comes with a screw-on lid often requires pliers to open once the cap seals to the can. However, I purchased a gallon of DAP Weldwood which is essentially a paint can. I intend to purchase a paint can spout to re-fill the glue pot in the future, but I managed to put contact cement in without creating too big a mess. The weighted base prevents spills from tipping, and it has a fairly small footprint. Eventually I will get a second one for my Barge cement.

Worked as I needed it to. The brush was much better quality than the brush that came with the contact cement that I was using with it. Used this for holding glue while working on EVA foam. Easy to use one handed. No gasket on the top, so not sure how long this will keep the glue from drying out. Been a few months so far and the glue is still usable.

Been wanting this thing for a while and it's worth every penny
