S600 Solar Electric Fence Charger - 35 Mile Range, 0.65 Joules Powerful Solar Fence Charger, Ideal for Livestock and Garden Protection

Installed this solar charger over two months ago to protect a remote patch of Christmas trees from cattle and wildlife. The fence charger is working well and lights up every level on my tester. Setup is quick and easy. Just connect the sealed battery and it’s ready to go. The unit is waterproof, sturdy and it slips easily and securely on a t-post. In addition to the solar charging panel, it comes with optional DC power supply. If this can withstand the extreme Texas weather, it will be a worthwhile investment.

Easy to set up and get working. Currently electrifying 328 feet of 48" high poultry netting. Works great, even during the short days of winter. Lots of clouds and rain this spring but the charger hasn't missed a beat, keeping my poultry safe from the numerous predators in my area.

Do not waste your money. After charging the unit and installing exactly as directed the unit never provided any charge to the fencing. As I reviewed the manual again I realized it was made in China and to get warranty work I needed to send the unit - at my expense - to them. Buyer beware - these units are junk.

I decided to cut electric to the barn. $1200 a year for a few light bulbs n the fence was nuts.Looked at all the different ones, decided on this for our 6 strand - 3 hot strands of tensil. We have 2 giant draft horses (one who is a fence tester) and 1 livestock dog to keep in. Regular plug in one worked good. But again we switched to see if this Solar would do the same.Been 24 hours and it’s been doing great! The 2000 pound fence tester horse is making better life decisions lol. Packs a good punch! Option to plug in is nice just in case we get days of cloudy weather.It was really easy to set up to an existing fence. 15 minute job.Se how it holds up over PA winters! So far we are pretty happy with it! Seems well made and the price for the size and output was better then other brands.

This is working great so far. I am using it on a posi/negi fence set up. 3 hot wires and 2 negative/ground wires. I thunk in total it is probably less than 1 mile of fencing. Haven't tested it with the goats yet, but it sure does kick. Mine is testing out at 6.5k on all the hot wires. Of course I had to test it myself to see what the animals are going to get and I got my good jolt that I felt in my chest! Hoping the goats learn the first time they touch it. I know the wild animals are now steering g clear of it.
