Top Choice of folding, shock-absorbing scooter for larger kid and adults
After many hours of research and comparison, I bought the SKIDEE X3M Foldable Scooter with 8 inch wheels and anti-shock for my tall son's 10th birthday gift. It fits him on both the lowest and second lowest (of 4) handlebar height settings. The Foldable Scooter has excellent handlebar grips, is well built, and folds and unfolds very well. We have rough (asphalt) sidewalks in our neighborhood, so the shock absorbers are a top priority. It's important to know that the scooter will sink down when you first step on it, so this takes some getting used to (especially if you've been riding a shockless scooter). However, once you're on the deck, it stays compressed and stable. Speaking of the deck, this scooter has a nice, large one that is 13 1/2" long by 5 3/8" wide. This is larger than most, and allows the rider to comfortably stand with both feet side by side when coasting. Also, the handlebar height adjustment range is excellent, allowing people to grow into this scooter (I'm 6', and it fit's me fine). The kickstand works well, too. The SKIDEE also has a great clamping system for the handlebars, the handlebar riser tube, and the folding hinge. After adjusting each of these clamps with the provided tool (making them pretty snug), there isn't any rattling. This stability is worth the slight increase in weight. I do recommend tightening all the fasteners before your first ride, and checking them periodically to see if any have become loose. The brake also appears thoughtfully designed. It is on the longer side, which covers the wheel better. It also includes a rear reflector. The scooter comes with a carry strap, and it has built-in loops to fasten this strap (rather than having to add on separate strap holders). SKIDEE offers a free scooter carry bag (offer information inside the box) if you send them a picture of someone riding the scooter posted on social media. too.The one possible drawback to the scooter's design is the handlebars are narrow, at 15 1/2" (many competitors are ~17"). This reduces the leverage a rider has turning the scooter, but it's not a deal-breaker.Overall, the build quality looks very good. The edges of some of the metal could be a wee bit more polished, yet this isn't a high-end bike so I wasn't expecting perfection. The reason I rated this scooter 4 stars (instead of 5) is because there are a few scratches on the black paint that shouldn't be there. The packaging appears to be designed to prevent this, yet somewhere in the process the scooter got scratched. It will be easy enough to touch it up, but it should have been pristine out of the box. Overall, I recommend the SKIDEE Foldable Scooter with 8 inch wheels and Anti-Shock Suspension. It offers the best balance of quality, adjustability, features and sizing for our needs that I could find. Finally, their website is the most useful of the manufactures and includes direct links to purchase spare parts when the time for that comes.

Great except for the kick stand
I bought 2 of these scooters for my kids 7 and 9. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. The only down side to this product is the kick stand. It is quite feeble. When you use it the scooter keeps falling over. But overall an ok product.

Down the extra money for a higher quality scooter.
This is the best scooter I’ve ever bought for any of my kids. The sturdiness is superior to those like razors.I love the fact it can be stored in a folding position.Easy installation. Just a bit disappointed the company sent a way to receive a free bag for it. Unfortunately you have to be on social media which I do not have. So that left my son a bit disappointed. Besides that, it’s worth every penny.

I’m going to be 60 and this scooter is for ME!
I absolutely LOVE this scooter!!!There is no enjoyment for me in riding a bike anymore because it hurts my butt bones, no matter what seat I use. Last week I was playing around on my grandkids’ scooters and thought, “I wonder if there is a scooter made for adults?” I started researching and was GOING to get the Schwinn Shuffle, but I am 5’ 4” and many reviews said the deck is too high off the ground for shorter people, plus it’s heavy and doesn’t fold up. So after reading scooter reviews for 3 MORE HOURS, I settled on the Skidee. (I chose gold & black.) Made in the USA, is has a shock absorber, is VERY easy to “assemble”, and is SUPER easy to fold down. Spare parts available if ever needed. One push and it rolls smoothly a loooong way. Solid; not rickety. (Any of my family or friends who have tried it want one, too!) It gives me a “whole body” workout; the next day muscles I haven’t used since I was 12 are sore, but I still can’t wait to hop right back on it again!! It’s in my car right now so I can stop at the park after work.I love this scooter. I’m still a kid!!!

directions came seperatly
The scooter was fairly easy to assemble however it was annoying that the directions did not come with the product. I had to google and download the directions by item number because the company site does not have the product on it. they was annoying when you are putting together a Christmas gift while kids are sleep. The directions came in the mail 2 days later.... very annoying! otherwise the scooter works great and my daughter loves it. Pay close attention to the little screws underneath the sections where the scooter folds. Our scooter kept folding on its own until we "found" the section on the downloaded instructions that says to tighten or loosen the tiny screws to keep the scooter from folding when you step on it.
