Does this use loose coffee or pods?

Both - designed for either Ground Coffee, or Espresso Pods. Surprisingly nice Espresso Machine.

The espresso is hot but it takes a little bit to steam the milk, in the event you want a latte. Having said that, i have used mine almost daily since i purchased it. No problems so far and it paid for itself within the first week, in terms of what i would have paid at the cafe. I have gotten the best results with espresso roast ground one notch larger than espresso grind, although lavazza works perfectly right out of the can or bag. Hope it helps!

Can you please confirm it works with 220 volts ac?

It was a gift so I don't know. In the U. S. all appliances except electric clothes dryers and electric stoves are 110 so I doubt it works on 220.

How much espresso is the machine supposed to pour out? I tried mine for the first time and it gave me 16 oz and was still going until I turned it off.

It will give you as much as the amount of water you put in the water tank, until you turn it off. So it really depends on how strong you want it to be. If you are using the single espresso measurement cup, 8-12 oz. is about as strong as a cup of coffee. If you want it espresso strength, it should be just 2-4 oz, then turn it off.
