No this camera is similar to a Polaroid camera it uses a film pack.

Can you see the picture before you print it?

Do you mean, is there a screen you can preview the picture on before printing? No, no. This camera has an optical viewfinder. It is variation of the Polaroid cameras that were popular last century (and has made a comeback, I hear). Like Polaroid, the Fuji Instax film uses a chemical process to make a photo. So, it is **not** an electronic/digital camera that has a screen to take and review pictures and a little printer inside where you just print the pictures you want. There is a product on Amazon made by Canon called the "selphy cp1300 printer" which can be used in conjunction with digital cameras. It's a bit cumbersome and fiddly for taking and sharing pictures on the fly. But, it works with most electronic cameras (including phones), it's portable and an option if you only want to print a few of the pictures you take while on-the-go.

exactly what i hoped for! im so happy. my only reason for not giving an entire five stars is because the batteries it came with werent working, but thankfully i have a lot of rechargeable batteries at home so that wasnt a problem for me. if you dont have any double a batteries at home you should definitely buy a couple along with this camera when you get it. the pictures look amazing and i love the selfie mirror!
