Ive been using this to drill 25mm holes in scaffold board with a forstner bit and 8mm dowel holes. There is a little bit of play but it drills pretty straight holes. Good quality tool and easy to use.

I used this for drilling at an angle and found that I had to build a base to screw it in to as otherwise it is a bit unwieldy but once fixed it is a terrific bit of kit especially if you want to drill several holes at the same angle. Hard to imagine using it as a mobile standalone for anything other than upright drilling as shown in the pictures as there is a bit of play and it isn’t particularly light once you have attached your drill. If it is a simple upright drilling guide you are after then there are much simpler and cheaper guides available but for angled drilling, I would recommend this.

Consistent performance. Portability.

I bought this in order to get a load of straight cuts without investing in a bench press.However, there were some issues with it - one being that there's way too much give / movement for my taste. I guess if you don't mind ±2mm or so it will be okay for you.Secondly, the base not very reliable - using a handle isn't really going to be useful for accuracy either. Because there are small rubber stanchions on the base, it's hard to get a suitable alignment - especially when dealing with 100mm bullnose skirting - which is what I was using.I guess, in the end, there is never going to be a fantastic alternative to a bench press for this sort of work.

Pleasantly surprised as it came fully assembled (apart from the handle) out of the box, not like the video I saw where it was delivered in plastic packaging and had to be assembled. Has a real premium feel to it with a cast base and head unit with a wonderfully smooth action so I guess there are bearings in the head. Very impressed so far and good value for money.

I searched online for a while for a drill press that fitted my drill. I didn`t think they existed! This one is the business! Not only is it a universal fit-all-drills but it was easy to use and the results are brilliant. I make automata models so need accurately straight holes for rods and crankshafts. This tool fills that need. I am totally happy!

The media could not be loaded. Like most of the other reviews mine came with too much play. Approximately 2mm. This was too much for my project as I needed it to drill consistent holes in the centre of my markings. I did take the sleeve on the tubing apart and found a plastic collar which is meant to keep the sleeve from rocking and to keep it snug. But we know that it doesn’t work.Initially I wrapped some painter’s tape around the tube but it was too thick and was pulled off. It did stop the play and rocking but wouldn’t move up and down.After some thought I pulled out some copper tape i had lying around. I measured the thickness of the tape and it was around 0.05mm thick compared to 0.07mm painters tape.To stop the mechanism pulling or tearing off the tape, I taped it length ways on each side of the pipe.Wrapping around the whole thing made it too tight. I gathered that the play was lateral, so i taped the lateral and middle areas if the tube.Job done. Now only if they could engineer the inner plastic collar literally another 0.05 or so smaller it would be perfect.
