Obsessed!
I was so sad when someone told me that my go-to Bare Republic sunscreen was being discontinued. I was browsing all the options and saw someone commented that this one was the same texture and I immediately bought it and am so glad I did. I love the slight tint it has - I have olive skin, so I was nervous it would be too light, but it's been perfect. The texture is light and smooth and it feels weightless on! Safe to say this is my new go-to!!

Surprised at how great this one is
I bought 6 different tinted mineral sunscreens to find the one that’s just right for me. Ranging from $10 to $50.I’ve tried them all now and this one is in my top 3 with Tizo and Drmtlgy. It has an amazing texture, it feels great on my skin, and doesn’t have any weird smell. It’s not as expensive as the other two but works better than the other cheaper options. It’s great to have a product that’s not breaking the bank but does a great job protecting my skin and blurring imperfections.

Absorbs well and has a matte finish
This product surprised me! I have been trying various brands of mineral sunscreens and most leave my face feeling very oily, even hours later This tinted sunscreen applies smoothly and absorbs well! Once dried, it leaves a matte finish and gives my face has a “powdery” feel. The tint is light and goes well with my skin tone (fair, warm). I have not tried it with foundation yet and am currently using it for my stay at home, makeup less days.

I mix it with my foundation and its gluten free
I'm a light neutral pink skintone. It matches my skintone just fine. It looks dark, but it isnt.Im getting older and my il makiage matte foundation looks soooooooo bad on me all of a sudden. I had to start mixing it with this tinted sunscreen and now it glides on dewey and velvety.Yes, the sunscreen has light coverage by itself, but i need something more than that to even out my skin tone. Its not enough for me. So, i mix with a tiny pump of foundation and its beautiful. At first it feels like it's just sitting on the top of your skin and will just smear right off, but just give it a second. Dont vigorously rub it in, just let it settle on it's own and it'll look great.I have a hard time washing it off. Idk if it's the zinc or just the combination of the two products, but you might find you need makeup remover or micellar water or oil cleanser. I dont have any of those things, so its a bit annoying. I started using vanicream petroleum lotion as a facewash to get it off, but soap, gylcerin, and exfoliant dont work. All in all, this stuff is fantastic. I switched to this because it's gluten free so i dont have to worry about getting gluten on my hands or in my mouth (no, gluten wont absorb through your skin. but it can get in your mouth and on your hands and thus on your food as well. It's best to choose gluten free products when it comes to sunscreen, lotion, foundation and lip balm/lipstick)

Pricey, but I haven’t found anything better for less
I love this sunscreen. I was using Bare Republic’s tinted matt sunscreen but apparently they stopped making their tinted version and the non tinted version left a decent amount of white cast. This ended up being cheaper and the tint blends better. It dries wonderfully. I put it on right after my moisturizer before it has a chance to dry.You can wear it as your foundation for a light coverage, or it works great as a primer for under my mineral powder foundation.I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and have had no problems with this product at all. I love how light it feels. I do think it’s a bit pricey, but in my experience, I have not found a cheaper mineral sunscreen that feels as good as this on my skin. This is still cheaper than the Bare Republic’s was and I used to use chemical sunscreens the worked and were cheaper but swapped to this while I am pregnant and I am not sure I will go back.

Excellent sunscreen, my favorite
In search for a perfect tinted sunscreen I have tried just about every brand of tinted mineral sunscreen that’s available here on Amazon, so you might recognize me from other reviews. I have a sensitive skin and can’t tolerate chemical sunscreen. I also have red and bumpy skin on my cheeks due to rosacea, so I need a tint to cover redness. I’m really glad I finally decided to give Sunbum tinted sunscreen a try because it quickly became one of my favorites. My other favorite is MD Solar Science BB cream in shade Light. These two are quite similar, both are very silicone like, due to a great amount of dimethicone. They feel like primers and because of that are very sticky and hard to wash off your fingers. But both look very natural and skin like. MD Solar Science (light shade) is slightly darker while Sunbum is pretty pale but not in an unhealthy way. My skin is a bit darker than Sunbum shade right now. Yet it covers my rosacea and evens out my skin tone just enough. It’s not drying but also not shiny, and because of that it doesn’t magnify wrinkles, which is a big plus: I’m tired of tinted sunscreens highlighting the wrinkles I have that are not even noticeable without them.Sunbum is slightly lighter and provides a bit less coverage than MD Solar. It also doesn’t have much zinc, which was a point of criticism from popular bloggers. Because of that it might not be perfect for everyday wear. But if you want to have the most natural “no make up” look and you’re light skinned, this is a great choice on the days when you’re not expecting to be under too much sun. I use retinol on my forehead at night and I didn’t get sunburnt when using this sunscreen. So the only concern here would be the gradually accumulated damage from the long UV-A rays.Another thing I like is that unlike MD Solar, Sunbum doesn’t contain vitamin C and therefore doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. It’s also less expensive. I will keep repurchasing.Note: in the unfiltered photo attached here, you can see the sunscreen after a 5 hour wear, that included eating, touching my face etc, so it’s a bit worn off and the redness on my cheeks is more visible. Even when freshly applied it didn’t cover redness completely because of being light coverage sunscreen.

Light coverage - not sticky
Works well, feels very soft when you apply, didn't break me out - provides light coverage
