Minn Kota instructions
Has a temp sensor built in to the lead similar to the existing lead. Call minn Kota about the instructions. They are wrong, if you follow instructions you will have 2 temp sensors in extended lead

Better than splicing your own wires
Seems expensive for wire, but it’s easy and convenient to use. I was going to return it and just get my own wire and connectors, shrink tubes, etc but that would have actually cost about the same (wire is expensive) and it wouldn’t look as nice. The wire connectors are fine but you do need a crimping tool, pliers won’t work properly. I used waterproof heat shrink butt connectors from L*wes bc they have adhesive in them and are really watertight.

This extension worked perfectly on my onboard charger on my 14 foot ski barge.

Exactly the part I needed
I mounted the charger in the battery box on the back of the boat and needed more wire to go to the console for another battery i use for night lights when fishing after dark. The harness way made for the minn kota charger and even had built in fuse boxes.

This hooked directly up to my Minnkota battery charger and helped to reach the batteries at the back of the boat.Great buy and is still working flawlessly months later. Not that there are really any other options out I'd definitely purchase again.
