Bratz Kidz Magic Hair Doll Dana

My daughter received this doll recently. She's not one for playing with dolls much, but this one was a real hit. First, I have to say that the hair really doesn't curl all that well. We tried with the little plastic "curling iron" that came with it, as well as our fingers. At best you get a little bit of wave, which falls out fairly quickly.What my daughter loved so much was just playing with the long hair. The hair goes nearly to the ankle of this doll. She loved using the little clips that come with it and clipping them all through her hair. We got out a bunch of her own little clips and added them to the dolls hair as well. The hair is even long enough that I taught her how to braid hair on this doll. (She's 5 1/2 years old).One other thing I'd like to note is that as a parent of a kindergarten child, I'm not real keen on the adult look of most Bratz dolls. I generally think they are too grown up looking with skimpy clothes and too much makeup. I would not allow my daughter to have the original Bratz dolls. That being said, the Bratz Kidz are more scaled back than the original Bratz dolls, and look a lot closer to a doll that I find acceptable for a young child.All in all, not anything spectacular, but for the price, it's definitely a fun and cute little doll.
