It went in with no issues. As a kit, it was cheaper than going to the local stores and gathering all the parts. Plus it came with the socket and square end wrench you will need. All you have to get is some thread sealer.

My house was built in 1962, don't know if the valves have been replaced since I bought it in 1992, but they fit perfectly. Very happy with this purchase.

A great replacement for the classic three handles. The black looks sleek and matches my other black hardware. My bathroom looks modern. It took the handyman approx 1/2hr to install. He said it was easy to install. I rated it a 4 bc I had to return the first one bc handyman said it was missing parts. So it delayed my install and had to pay extra for handyman to return.

These valves should be easy to install take out the old ones screw in the new ones. That was not the case for me I bought two sets. Only two of the valves seem to turn properly two of them spin and spin and spin and the other two are extremely hard to turn. I remove them and then put them back in turn them tighter turn them loose or these are terrible. I really tried to give them a chance. I’m putting the old ones back in and all this just because I didn’t like the handles on the old ones.

If your not replacing the 15 year old crusty bath knobs that came with your prewar bathroom then you’re doing it wrong.Now, make sure you know what your doing, have your super’s trust or.. better yet just have him do it. I got by with YouTube and a couple of trips to the hardware store.The material is very* lightweight but unless you shower with chainmail I don’t think you’ll notice any wear and tear over the course of your lease renewals.
