Item was delivered quickly and as described, after some googling and you tube videos' this scanner will end up saving you some cash by self diagnosing fault codes and suggesting resolution and or reset/clear options, runs active tests and is much more advanced than my knowledge of the vehicle but it will definitely give you insight on what the mechanics need to be laser focused on instead of throwing money at an issue and hoping it works or over charging you for unnecessary repairs, I have a 2013 GL 550 full of sensors and all the bells and whistles so this scanner is handy for sure

I have a 2020 Ram 1500 that I used this on. I originally used a code reader to identify the check engine light but found I only received generic information. After deciding to get this (on sale at the time) I was able to properly diagnose the issue my truck was having. The transfer case would only work in 4WD. The codes I was receiving were CAN-C communication issues from the code reader. This scan tool identified exactly what was transpiring in the drivetrain computer. (FAD was not disengaging)It also allowed me to see and clear all the codes in the system that had popped up because of the original fault. This saved me thousands in shop costs and hundreds in other parts if I had just tried chasing the problem.The software is easy enough to use but not very fast.With my Ram I had to buy an adapter cable in order to do anything aside from read the faults. (apparently it is a Chrysler thing)

I bought this scanner as I was replacing the CPK and I needed one to guide me through calibration. I then also read that it would program key fobs. I have been wanting to program one but the dealer and key shops wanted over $100 to program them. I first replaced the CPK and calibrated it with no issues. I then bought 2 new key fobs for about $15. I had no issues reprogramming them. So, 2 jobs done and the unit is basically paid for. I since used it to check for other codes and clear the ECU. I am more than pleased and recommend it for the DIY user. Beware that after one year you will need to decide if you want updates and they are $125 per year. I thought that was a little steep.

Likes:A pretty responsive user interface.Lots of vendors supported and covers most of the cars I see.Fairly in depth diagnostic capability.A few active diagnostic control tools.Dislikes:User interface is kind of difficult to navigate and filter for the PIDS you are interested in.No CANbus network diagrams, or information.No wiring diagrams even with the annual subscription.DuraMax Diesel 3.0L fuel injections pressure ranges are off by a factor of 8X-10X. They are showing <~3,800 when the limits are really up to around 36,000+Unreliable code clears fail to remove historical codes from some modules. It says it clears, but it does not .Changes:A better way to manage, categorize and group and select PIDs other than only the infinite scroll. Each technician is going to have preferences as to how they approach things and on modern cars there are too many to infinitely scroll through as the only option.Some sort of user profile where you can save PIDS and other parameters in groups and them enable or disable by group.Some memory of vehicle history by VIN so that it can re-import and select the PIDS that were used previous on the same vehicle. That makes it much faster when powering up for each re-test during repairs.Improve reliability of the existing features.

I was very impressed with scanner and bidirectional functions that I decided to do an upgrade to 900 - BT scanner Autel.

Used it a little bit today after getting it and it does so much more then my old scanner and fairly easy to use.

Best scanner i ever buy highly recommended very profesional scan tools im glad i buy this one is worts every penny you can do alot of thing with this scan i replace my honda cr v brake with this scan the reason i buy this scan because i read the review and trust me the good review i have read make me purchased this in im glad i did cause my car got a check engine light and find out is was a fuel injector only 1 was not working and need a replacement i just save over 1000 of dollar and did it my said and this scan can help you find out about the code is show up on your car you need to have wifi in order to search the code online

Since I purchased my autel mk808s bi directional scanner it has been wonderful and I've been able to do everything I need it to do being a 20 year automotive technician as well as power sports technician.I've been able to communicate with both power sports and automotive vehicles and see the parameters that I need to see as well as it has had all the different special functions that I've needed for things like electric parking brake or a sensor relearn calibration or brake bleeding mode so far it has been everything a professional scanner needs to be. The only downfall although not autells fault is with the power sports the manufacturers have not been mandated to all use the same connector for their diagnostic port like cars sold in the US have been since 1994 so you must purchase all the different adapters to 16pin OBD2 for all the power sports manufacturers and some manufacturers have more than for instance Yamaha has one for marine and one for off-road but this scanner does support all the different protocols needed to view the parameters for power sports you just need the adapters I have had no problems with connectivity nor have I had any problems with the units reliability it's super user friendly and I'm my honest opinion a great purchase for any mechanic or someone just looking to do some diy repairs on any late model vehicles requiring a bidirectional scanner to perform/complete specific repairs
