The Color of Pixar: (History of Pixar, Book about Movies, Art of Pixar) (Disney) Hardcover – Illustrated, August 8, 2017

The media could not be loaded. It’s cute every page has a blown up image from Pixar organized by color, only a couple images are a little blurry (almost like you took a screen shot of a video) they’re not that noticeable honestly but if you’re someone who needs clear crisp images, they might bother you a bit. So if it does I would keep that in mind. I bought this book for my clients birthday, he’s 6 with autism and absolutely adores picture books and Pixar so this was perfect. The book itself is definitely a little smaller than I expected it’s about the size of a styrofoam Chinese food takeout container, but it’s a great size for a child or someone with smaller hands. It definitely has a lot of great art, only the covers, title ,forward acknowledgment and 2 introduction pages have writing. The other 342 are just art/pictures. I definitely recommend if you or someone you know loves Pixar. It’s a great deal for the price.

The book is beautiful. The publisher used high quality paper and vibrant colors. A winner gift for Pixar fans!

Great book for what it is. I'm an amateur animator/filmmaker so I got this to try to get some inspiration and ideas. Color is an important part of film and is crucial for setting tone/mood. It's interesting to flip through the pictures to see how Pixar uses color in their films. Personally I would have preferred a book with words here and there that maybe explained some of the photos a bit, but they obviously just wanted a photo gallery. Regardless, good book.

What a gorgeous book. My 18 year old son has autism and is a huge Pixar fan. Who isn’t right?!? Anyway, he’s also an artist and enjoyed every bit of this book. The OCD part of his brain also enjoyed how everything was catagorized in colors. Just beautiful!!

There is little to no next in this book, and is quite small compared to other art books I have purchased. There were some print errors (appears like scratches but no physical damage to the pages ?) on some of the pages, but 99% of the book was okay (not damaged).Very interesting and great to reference how color is used in different scenes from Pixar’s films.

This book is inspiring, engaging, and beautiful!I really loved Tia's presentation of color, emotion and story in this beautiful little book. I can't wait to share it with children in schools as a tool to talk about colors and emotions... and perhaps a few giggles and reminders of fun Pixar movie moments!

Amazing little, but thick, book for any artist or pixar fan. Each page focuses on a certain frame of a pixar movie that demonstrates a color palette that ties back to the emotion from that scene. As a new animator myself, I'm very glad to have this little gem in my collection!
