NECA Half Life - Head Crab - Plush Toy

I loved this thing from the minute NECA announced it via Facebook. I am a huge fan of the Half-Life game franchise, and these are one of its most iconic creatures. Everyone who has played any game in the Half-Life series has seen these guys, and they probably remember whacking them with a crowbar.I gave it 5 stars on fun, because I just love looking at it and messing with it.I gave the educational value 3 because you might learn something about them, who knows?and I gave it three stars on durability because I am sure its well made, but I wouldn't treat it harshly or really "Play" with it.This is a very well-made toy, and it just looks gruesome and cool wherever you put it. I thought it might be big enough to actually fit on your head, but its too small. (although it is about life-size)Great toy overall!

For some reason she has an obsession with Head Crabs. Got her this for her birthday. It's an odd looking thing (obviously), and even stranger when you turn it over and look at the bottom. I presume that's a mouth down there, but that's not the first thing that came to mind when I looked it over (maybe why the tag says "Ages 17 and up"?). She wore it on her head for her birthday lunch, or tried to at any rate. It's not quite big enough to wear like a hat unless you're a small kid. The fabric is well printed and it feels like the front appendages have wire inside to help them keep their shape. It's properly hideous and freaky looking, as it should be, and brighter than the photo shows.

This is by far the biggest piece of miniature junk that my 12 year old has ever bought; and believe me he has bought a lot of junk.

This is a great plush, and it looks awesome (probably the most realistic one out there)But know these two things before buying.First, it won't fit on your head. Or your sibling's head.Second, headcrab is kind of a fatty. This means that he is wider than he is long. You can almost see it in the product picture.But it is, by far, the most realistic looking headcrab available. It stands up, has a hole on the bottom, and uses a great looking texture. I may try to squish mine into a different shape though.

I always wanted a head crab, and I'm glad I got one, but it has a couple issues with it. The fabric is kind of rough.. well, not rough, but not soft; I know everyone will be cuddling with this creature, but the material makes it less inviting. Also, it's more pink than the picture shows it. Not really tan/brown at all, mostly red and pink. Next, the hole on the bottom isn't all that special. It's a square, and if you feel the inside of it you notice the walls are made of a cheap plastic. And last, the blood that comes on the head crab is just a part of the material. What I mean by that is where the crab is sewn together down the middle, the blood cuts off and doesn't match up. For me it's like that, anyway, not sure if they all come like that. If you're super into Half Life and you're dying to have a head crab for a pet, go ahead and buy this because it's the cheapest one you'll find. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend spending almost $30 on the little beast.

Bought this guy (or as I like to refer to him, 'Lamarr') as an office decoration for my desk. Besides being a great conversation piece, he hangs quite well on my monitor with his flexible wire forearms.As another reviewer noted, he's a little wider than longer (which was noticeable out of the box), but isn't reasonably out of proportion. The plush is of a slightly cheaper material, and the headcrab texture from the game appears to have been directly printed onto this little guy for some extra photo-realism (as the picture shows), although at the cost of 'pixelation' in the pattern.Regardless of any small shortcomings though, he was definitely a great buy and has been well received at the office! Those looking to own their own headcrab should definitely consider this one as an alternative to the brown colored one (especially if faithfulness to the original headcrab is a goal of yours.)

When I had placed my order, I knew the quality would be great because it is a NECA product, but actually getting it blew me away. The detail is amazing on it.

I have bought this toy since it was quite natural to buy along with Gordon's favourite gun.It's very realistic. But yes, don't ever try to wear tit on head, it just won't fit. Nonetheless, it's a great toy and can decorate your / your kid's room nicely.

Absolutely love it! i love the detail on the head crab, i took a picture of it and it looks exactly like it's from the game. He will sit on my desk and watch me play Half-life :)Would highly recommend.

Also fangen wir mal an: Die HeadCrab sieht echt hammer aus! habe beide Half-Life teile gezockt und hat echt große Ähnlichkeiten zum animierten Original :Dzweiter Punkt, der Versand: lt E-Mail von Amazon sollte sie erst heute verschickt werden, hab sie aber schon heute bekommen (bestellt am abends am 8.Mai, 9.Mai=Feiertag und bekommen am 10.Mai .. :D) echt hammer klasse.auch qualitativ fühlt sich die HeadCrab sehr hochwertig an.echt klasse teil, vielleicht kann ich sie ja auch zähmen ;)gruß von mir ;) :D

Es ist ein ungewöhnliches Kuscheltier,obwohl es ist ja eigentlich kein Kuscheltier.....es lädt auch nicht zum kuscheln ein...Soll es ja auch nicht😃..laut Schild,ist das "Kuscheltier" ab 17 Jahren....Der Spaßfaktor ist riesig....für Fans von Half Life das ultimative Geschenk....es ist witzig und sieht original wie im Spiel aus....es ist pixelig...was den Spielcharakter noch unterstützt....Ich würde es gerne mehrfach erwerben um es hinter jeder Tür zu verstecken....alles in allem ein schönes Geschenk.

Belle "peluche", mon fils l'adore. 30€ (port compris) c'est tout de même un peu cher à mon goût mais bon. Relativement solide.
