IMC2 Compatible VESA Adapter - Mount iMac 21.5" & 27" (2012-2020) to a Mmonitor Arm Bracket

I bought this to go with a monitor arm/stand when I switched to a standing desk for working from home. My 2017 iMac is one that has a built in stand so there is no other way to connect it to a monitor arm.It looks a little odd [not visible when in use] but it was easy to fit, is robust and does the trick. Very happy with it.

Does exactly what is says on the tin. It converts a non VESA mount iMac to a VESA mount iMac.Well made, slightly fiddly to install, but 4 screws. 2 further plastic screws and 4 nuts and bolts, isn't the end of the world.Only thing I had to consider was that I wanted a monitor arm that moved in all directions (not a horizontal arm) so the weight of a 27" iMac is at the upper limit, or more accurately beyond nearly every type of arm you'll find on here.

As this generation of iMac required build-to-order VESA mounting, a low-cost simple mount solution looked perfect for my needs.And it is! It is holding a 27 inch iMac securely, with the neatly-designed plastic bush and metal clamp retaining the through-hole for cables. With a 12kg ERGear stand the iMac can be positioned and rotated slightly and the “foot” of the stand is stable and free to support accessories.Depending on your VESA mount you will want to use the 100mm holes at the top and the 75mm below so there’s room to hold the locknuts while tightening the screws.It looks a little clunky but the silver finish is good and more to the point - as long as your monitor stand is rated for 12kg and has a solid hinge for the final tilt, you’ll have the freedom to position your iMac as you wish.

Needed a quick and easy solution as a result of the lockdown. It’s not the prettiest looking solution but, does exactly what I needed it to do. Is well built and delivery was fast. Thanks very much.

This says "new apple imac" and "from 2012 and later models", but is completely incompatible with the latest M1 iMac. I see now that it specifically says 21.5" and 27", but it should explicitly state that "from 2012 and later models, EXCEPT FOR M1 iMac", and "new apple iMac" should probably be removed from the product title. Super frustrating to find this out, and it's also just a silly product design because it's these two little side lugs which prevent it from fitting the new M1 iMac's back stand width. If it didn't assume the width was the same, the whole thing would still be usable. :(

The provided screws were M5 and I needed to buy M4 screws and nuts to screw this into my monitor stand.

Apple, great products great company but very tricky, you can't fit a VESA mount on an iMac 21inch (Nice) why? only Apple knows why their screens do not come with VESA ready holes or brackets.This saved the day and allowed me to mount the Mac on a multiscreen mount, great product but needed some adjustment because the holes drilled in this bracket were not big enough for the screws supplied with the mount so I had to enlarge them.

Kauf hat sich gelohnt. Das Anbringen ist zwar ein bisschen fummelig, lässt sich aber trotzdem gut händeln.Der Ständer des Macs bleibt dran und kann als Ablage verwendet werden (Tastatur u. a.)

Provato anche su Cinema Display: si monta facilmente. Penso che ne prendero' un altro per iMac late 2012: il mio dubbio era sul Cinema Display
