Q: Would this be ok for a motorbike?

It would probably be ok for a motorcycle at home or at the office but I wouldn't want to carry it all the time on my bike. It's to big to practically carry at around.

Q: If someone drives off with this clamp fitted - won't it tear all the bodywork to shreds and damage the car?

This lock doesn't cover the wheels nuts ,so they can simply remove the wheel and place another one if they had access to the wheel nut locks ? Correct
