Product Description Produced by Donald Bellisario (JAG), N.C.I.S. follows the workings of investigators at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Led by the wise Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a crack investigator with no qualms about bending the rules to find his answers, the team takes on cases involving terrorism, murder, espionage, and international arms smuggling. Gibbs is aided by homicide detective Anthony Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly), forensic scientist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), medical examiner Dr. Donald Ducky Mallard (David McCallum), computer expert Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), and new department head Jennifer Shepard (Lauren Holly). This collection presents all 24 episodes of the shows third series. .co.uk Review With two solid seasons already banked, NCIS returns for a compelling third year with exciting plotlines and a slightly tweaked cast. The show's second season ended with the brutal and shocking death of Caitlin Todd (Sasha Alexander). The first two episodes of this season deal with the aftermath of bringing her killer to justice and examining the emotional impact of her loss on the remaining members of the NCIS team, which is led by Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). The six-disc set includes all 24 episodes, which aired on CBS during 2005-2006. Returning are happy-go-lucky ladies' man Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly, Dark Angel), forensics expert and resident Goth chick Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum, The Man from U.N.C.L.E), and agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray). Former Mossad intelligence officer Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) joins the close-knit cast, as does Jennifer Shepard (Lauren Holly, Dumb & Dumber) as the new NCIS director. Working on a daily basis with Shepard initially makes Gibbs wary. Not only is she a former girlfriend, but she also was his underling at one time. Equal parts CSI and JAG, NCIS works primarily because of its quirky cast, which is able to take sometimes regurgitated ideas and rework them into something engagingly watchable. Throughout this season, we will see agents endangered and framed, and one will accidentally kill an undercover detective who may not have been armed. But the explosive two-part season finale will finally shed light on Gibbs' painful history and help explain why he is who is he today. --Jae-Ha Kim

The perfect 'easy watching' series
This series grows on you as you progress through the first series. It's not an intellectual script! but well written for an hour long story, with well-played characters that you get to love. It is also full of subtly amusing scenes that make you smile. It's great for evening entertainment when you want to watch something that isn't dull and at the same time nothing too complicated; it gives you something to think about whilst also not too much, for the end of a busy day when you need to unwind. I'm very fussy about my viewing, many TV series don't make it through to the end of the first series even, and wasn't too sure about it for the first few shows: however, it has now got to joint first place for me with 'Without a Trace'.

Quirky Characters
It is a series full of quirky characters, but it all slots together nicely to make a good enjoyable crime series. It is a series that is well cast and each actor suits the part and there is a bit of tongue in cheek humour. If you liked the previous NCIS. Then you will enjoy this one

NCIS Series 3
Great! Introducing a new character to replace an established one is always a risk but Ziva (Cote De Pablo) slots in perfectly. Wonderfully witty mis-use of language and an all-action persona, she really adds to the show. This is probably her best series - and one of the best series of the whole NCIS arc.

NCIS Enjoyment
NCIS is one of the better series coming from the USA. We are gradually catching up on complete series shown on Channel 5 in the UK so far. Watch it on DVD format without the adverts that interrupt TV viewing. Altogether an excellent series made especially so by Mark Harmon's acting.

Great show, shoddy streaming by Prime
Great show. The sound was out though and we couldn’t fix it. This is really annoying as as well as paying for prime I paid for this episode. Not happy Amazon!!
