It is a decent product, but unfortunately doesn't solve my problem.
My Nintendo Wii has some problems, one being that there are black grainy dots/lines on the home screen and during game play and another being when I'm playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl an error message keeps coming up saying 'The Game Disc could not be read. Please read the Wii Operations Manual for more information'. After researching the internet and looking through the Wii Operations Manual, I still couldn't fix the problem, so I contacted Nintendo and they recommended me to buy a cleaning kit for the Wii, which I did.The cleaning kit arrived within two days of me placing an order - which I was very happy about! I then opened it and carefully followed the (very easy to understand) instructions. After cleaning the console, I put on SSBB and played it for a while to see if the message would come up again, which sadly it did. I then repeated the procedure by cleaning it a few more times to see if that would make any difference but still no luck :( and it seemed to make no difference to the black grainy dots/lines either.I have no problem with the product because reading the reviews for it on here, it seems that it's not the product's fault the game still isn't working, just that it doesn't seem to be the way to fix it. I'm sure using the cleaning kit did my console some good though since I've never done it before, so I'm not going to rate it down or anything. It's just a shame my problem still isn't fixed. I'll just contact Nintendo again as they said to if this product doesn't work for it.

Simple but effective
No complaints, worked and did what it promised. Lasted quite a while if you didn't go overboard cleaning them all the time.

Original Lens Cleaning Kit (Wii)
OK well I must say this is the first review I've given on any product ever despite reading loads of reviews so I'm going to be totally straight up and if you are considering purchasing this product for the same reason I did then you'll be very pleased indeed.Basically my Nintendo Wii started playing up and would not load certain CD's. It progressively got worse and wouldn't load any game expect for a single CD. Checked youtube etc as you do looking for a solution on CD loading error etc and was totally mislead - Some videos will tell you how to create your own CD cleaner for the Wii - Don't waste your time as you will probably damage your Wii. The best thing to do is purchase this "original Wii" CD lens cleaner and follow the instructions.Within seconds of cleaning my Wii's lens with the kit all games started working again no problem. This kit is essential at the end of the day - This kit comes cleaning PADS so will last a long time as it doesn't need cleaning regularly :) Purchase this kit if you are having problems playing games/reading CD's on your Wii - This will clean the lens (all the dirt comes off on the pad) and will ensure a smooth running Wii.Glad I bought this as I was about to do something stupid and open my Wii - lolHope this info helps ... peace!

If you're getting disc read errors on a Nintendo Wii then try this first!
STOP! - before paying money to Nintendo or any other authorised Nintendo Wii repair centre, if you're getting disc read errors get one of these. A friend of mine asked me to look at their Wii as I usually help them out with other electronic gadgets when they are having problems, before opting for a more expensive repair I thought I would give the cleaning kit a try. The console I had was constantly attempting to read discs and coming up with the black screen with the Disc Error message, I tried every single game disc I own for the Wii (all of which are in excellent condition with hardly a mark on them) but got the error message each time after the drive attempted to read (it was making quite a lot of noise in the process) I was unsure if this cleaning kit would resolve the issue but for the price thought it was worth a shot.... and guess what, after using it just once the console now reads every disc and has been tested for over 10 hours of play and has not displayed the disc error message since. Give it a go, it might save you a few pounds!

Saved me a bundle!
I'm not going to write an extensive review this time because others have already doe that.I'll just add and confirm that this product works!I was getting disc error "Cannot read disc". Now either my Wii was knackered or the laser was dirty. For the price it's worth a punt and hope it's a dirty laser reader.Simple to use and really effective.Stick a pad to the disc supplied, wet it with the cleaner supplied put it in your Wii, wiggle the disc via the handle attached to the disc and hey presto! your all done.My laser was really dirty, I had to repeat this 4 or five times, but now it works like it was new.Would recommend this product!

Brilliant - Recommended
The review gives me the option to rate this as a "game", however it's not - it's a lens cleaning kit for the WII.We had been having problems with the WII struggling to read discs for a while, and I stumbled upon this kit via a Google search, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. The product itself is everso easy to use, with clear instructions, and after just one use, our WII is reading every disc, every time - perfect, just what I wanted! Can't recommend this highly enough if you've got disc-reading problems with your WII - this will more than likely sort it out for you.

It works
There are a lot of Youtube videos suggesting it is easier to make your own lens cleaner, but this kit is good value for money and certainly cleaned a lot of grime off the Wii lens. I would recommend getting this rather than cobbling something together at home which could be harmful to your Wii.

Raving Rabbids would not play
From comments made by others it seemed the reason my game wouldn't play was due to a dirty laser lens. The cleaning kit certainly removed a lot of dirt from the lens but I still didn't have any luck with the game. Apparently some games are supplied on dual layer DVDs and some older laser lens need to be in perfect condition to read them. I think it is still worth having the cleaning kit.
