My favorite brand of decaf beans, nearly impossible to find in my local markets. I buy it with subscribe and save because I never want to be out of this coffee. It's always very fresh.

Prior to the "pandemic", eight o'clock was the only brand I used for my cold brew and pour-over coffee; simply because it tasted good and it was affordable. Now that it is affordable once again, unfortunately, the quality is below sub-par.It does not smell like coffee. I cant quite put my finger on it exactly, but it does have a chemical smell while sniffing (in the bag), and barnyard smell throughout the house after brewing. But there is something else I wish I could describe.After choosing to take a chance on brewing it each way, it does not taste like coffee. It is straight up sour, a cross between old milk and a lemon, with a bit of an earthy undertone and a watery and chemical aftertaste.Now, I am far from being a coffee snob, but when my Maxwell House instant coffee smells and tastes like coffee and good at that, I know I got a bad batch or quality assurance left the building. Such a shame.
