Review: Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Mass
Can I take a moment to just say how much I love Sarah J. Mass.Sarah J. Mass I seriously adore you.You are a Master. A Master of words which brings life to a story from the paper, a World Builder, making us believe in places we want to see with our own eyes. A Manipulator who makes us readers clutch your books with reverence and create characters with whom we hopelessly and shamelessly fall in love with.It was a tad bit slow in some chapters but overall it was fast paced. I loved the new characters. And the Old. The various twists and turns kept me glued to the pages. And of course, we can't forget about the action and adventure. I cried a lot. Especially in the chapters involving Sam. I laughed. I growled in frustration at some parts and smiled like an idiot at others.Being a ToG fan, I went into the book expecting to be blown away and Thank God, that is what happened.I wanted to know what happened to Dorian-was he alright after the incident in Heir of Fire. I was waiting for Celaena Sardothien to return one last time to wreak havoc in Adarlan. What was Chaol up to now? Was Aelin going to save her cousin Aedion of time? What was she going to do about magic? What was Manon Blackbeak and her hard on the outside and soft on the inside, Abraxos were doing in the mountains? What I was really hoping was for to know more about Ansel but sadly she was mentioned only once in the whole book considering even Lyssandra returned but also with magical powers of her own.And I will say it outright, Arobyn Hammel got what he deserved. There!!! Feels good to get it off my chest. And I am totally confused that Aelin goes from being in love with Choal to be now in love with Rowan. And I get it. But this pessimist side of mind keeps commenting like- Celaena/Aelin stop falling in love with every handsome man you meet. I know. I know. But seriously though I loved the Platonic part of their relationship in Heir of Fire and somehow I wouldn't have mind seeing it that way. And one more doubt that has been nagging at the back of mind when I finished the book was Sarah J. Mass how are you going to sort out the immortal/mortal age difference between Aelin and Rowan. And do I sense love budding between Manon and Dorian. If that does happen I don't know how you are going to pull it off.I am still in my book hangover mood.

LOVED MOST PARTS OF THE BOOK. Couple of characters were out of character but still an excellent read.
This is my first book review EVER so idk how to do this. I'll try, though.Product review:Disappointed with the quality of the pages.Book review:I am in awe of Sarah J Maas. She has created these wonderful high fantasy series with such exquisite detail that I can just lose myself in it. I picked up these books after a year long reading slump and oh my god was I missing out. The first book was amazing but it was also the weakest, according to me. The second book, however, was 10 folds stronger and is now one my favorite books of all time. The third book crushed me and it was just a beautiful roller coaster of feels for me and the fourth book is bad ass to put it simply. This book is about Aelin's return to rifthold to try to kill the king, free magic and Terrasan after showing the fae queen her place in Wendlyn. She soon finds out that Aedion has been captured. She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die for the freedom of his nation. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen's triumphant return. While Celena was an assassin who was short tempered and blood thirsty, Aelin keeps her anger in check and thinks about her people over anybody else and we really get to know her in this book. Aelin is a queen.Chaol is, to be very blunt about it, a butt hurt ass for the better part of the book. I couldn't wrap my mind around how uncharacteristic it was for him to be behaving this way.Dorian, oh my sweet Dorian is clearly a mess and I don't blame him one bit. There is some interesting character development in Manon's storyline and she's now one of my favorite characters in the book.I liked Elide, Asterin and *katniss-girl* as well. Whatever her name is, she's katniss in my head.Aedion and Lysandra are such interesting characters. Lasandra has a big secret and it's the second most shocking development in the book. THE MOST SHOCKING DEVELOPMENT is also a plot hole, if you ask me. Rowan has this interesting story line in this book. Interesting as it is, I really was hoping that it wouldn't get to this. Not that I don't like it or anything. THAT'S ALL I CAN SAY WITHOUT SPOILING ANYTHING. If I haven't already. I HATE THE MANON'S GRANDMOTHER. What a biatch! The best parts about this book were the fighting sequences which Sarah J Maas, as we all know, is a master of.The worst parts about this book were every single Chaol pov chapters.(SPOILER: I get that he's the only one rooting for Dorian in an open manner but he needs to keep his emotions in check white talking to or about Aelin. He loved her for fcuks sake and now he's acting like the biggest D - bag. Talking about things he doesn't know anything about and just being outright annoying)I give this book 4 stars because the quality of the pages and binding was so bad, I just wish I had the money for a hardcover. And the Chaol and Rowan parts were very shockingly out of character or just... Very sudden. You know? No? Read the hook. It's an amazing book. It's my third favourite book of the series after crown of midnight and heir of fire. Sorry, Throne of glass. I'll be reading the novellas next.Which reminds me, I wish I had read the novellas before I read Queen of Shadows. It's not necessary but there were just so many references that it would be better if I did.

Amazing series. Must read.
The Throne of Glass series is one of my absolute favourites. I would recommend it to anyone 14 years and above looking for a good fantasy book to immerse yourself in.

Super-Duper book
It's a good sequel of 'Heir of Fire' . In fact, the whole celaena sardothien series is an amazing, fantabulous and harry potter-comparable one. So, as a bookworm, I would suggest you to read it.

MIND BLOWING!!!
This book if effing fantastic. Aelin is so amazing and her little plans keep you on the edge of your seat. The plot is executed so fantastically. You don't even get bored in the Mannon chapters. Mannon character development is beautiful. I can't say much without giving away spoilers. This series is a must read.
