Sharp looking!! The hat is very nice and is just what I was expecting when I ordered it. Material is very soft and looks to be of good quality. All the seams and stitches are sewn good. I have a hard time finding hats that fit my head perfectly because my head is on the small side. I ordered the small and upon trying it on for the 1st time, found it kind of tight but not too tight to wear. I am sure over time the hat will stretch out and it will fit me perfect.

I have a 23 3/4 head size and the XX-large fit absolutely perfect. The quality and stitching are well done and the cap sits on your head perfectly. I have other caps like this one and paid more but the quality here is better. I love this style of cap and will be purchasing more in different materials as I live in central Florida and the weather changes. I had to deal with the company on what I thought was a problem that turned out to be nothing and Mr. Gates answered my e-mail as if he was sitting there waiting for it. They are an "old school" customer oriented company and you will not go wrong dealing with them. The cap also arrived 9 days early and well packaged. I would definitely recommend them for a great product and excellent customer service. The wife says I look quite "Dapper" in my new lid and that says it all......

Beautiful hat. But it appears to run on the large size. For that reason only I will be returning it.

This hats band fits snugly, more then the summer hats. Perfect for windy winters. I had to go with this medium weight hat, due to sizing, but I'm glad I did. My head gets overly hot, easily, but this is a perfect balance. Warm but not hot enough to be of any discomfort. I've already got the summer variant, made of washed cotton. Love them both. Designed in the USA, but made in China. However the quality is excellent. Owned a rooster hat for years now, no complaints.

This is a well made product! Sturdy construction and the lining is well stitched. Cool style too. I gave it four because I ordered what I thought was my size but it was way too large. I will be buying in my size just a size down from the indications.

Hat was just a little big in the XL but based on the style it does not matter, better than being too tight which is a problem I have with many hats. I really like how it looks and have received a number of compliments about it. It looks good and keeps my head warm - sounds like a winner! If lost I would buy another and did I say I get a lot of compliments on it? It is pretty amazing how many people comment on it. Yep, a definite winner.

First, the hat came with a 5mm dark spot on it. This is basic quality control failure. I'm sure most hats don't have spots, but ask yourself, do you want to buy from a vendor that doesn't check the condition of its merchandise before shipping? Second, the material is not nearly as nice as the picture portrays. I'd be surprised if the photo is of the actual product. The herringbone pattern is not crisp and has many irregularities (dark/light spots). Some material where the snap is (where the top snaps to the brim) is missing material and looks like the snap is not well secured to the material. Many visible stitch ends.Note also that there is a direct question in the "Questions" section asking where the hat is made ("Question: What country is Rooster Headwear headquartered in? Where are they manufactured?", "Answer: [kickstarter URL...]company-a-mens-american-made I believe it's out of Milwaukee "). The answer implies Milwaukee. The linked-to Kickstarter page says their hats are made in USA. However, my hat is clearly labeled "made in CHINA" (and the quality reflects it). The seller knows damn well that the answer to the question is incorrect, yet they have not corrected this. Surely the seller is aware of this mis-information and they are benefitting from it, since many folks won't buy a hat made in China.In sum, defective product and mis-leading information about an important trait of the hat. These go to the fundamentals of the deal and hence one star. Spend the extra bucks and get one of the German Stetsons. Those are nice quality. I also bought a black cotton Rooster Newsboy. That one is OK, although it too is made in China and the fabric is a bit rough compared to nicer hats.

Aesthetics were marred by the visor having been attached more to one side, ruining the symmetry. This cap is made from good quality material, and otherwise constructed well. Unfortunately, the entire effort was undone by ineffective quality control. I had to return it and, of course, received a full refund. I don't feel that (at this price) my expectations were too high. I really wanted this cap, but am unlikely to re-order it.
