When I first opened the box for this curtain rod I was very underwhelmed. The rod pieces looked like tiny (circumference wise) and I thought there’s no way these skinny poles will hold my heavy duty blackout drapes. I unwrapped all of the pieces from their cellophane and laid them out on the bed with a chuckle, “alright, let’s see how this goes”.I took a quick glance at the instructions which clearly displayed how many of each sized rod — there are two different sizes — I would need for varying lengths. I chose the pieces that closely matched my window width and began assembly.Each rod end is easily identifiable as either a male or female end. The poles screw together snugly and the plastic end caps pop right on with no jiggle. Next, I installed the rod brackets directly into window frame so I only needed the screws and not the anchors. Finally, I inserted the rod through the curtain loops and and attempted to place the rod into the brackets. However, there is a phillips head screw in each bracket that must first be backed out all of the way, in order for the rod to seat into the bracket securely. Once I had the rod seated, I grabbed a VERY short handle screw driver to tighten those screws down to hold the rod in place. **This step does damage to the rod. The screws peeled away the finish at the point of contact.** The rod fits tightly into the bracket and tightening the screws isn’t necessary.When all was said and down, I took a step back and enjoyed the serenity of darkness thanks to this curtain rod and some blackout drapes. I tested the strength of the rod by roughly pulling the drapes open and closed from different angle and different parts of each drape. The rod did not move, did not bend, did not bow, and the drapes glided smoothly along the curtain rod. Profit!

They are not true extension rods. I will have to use a pipe cutter to get them to fit my windows. Otherwise, they seem sturdy and are nice looking. Update. My husband cut off a piece on each rod and they look great, so I updated to 4 stars

I got these for the two bedrooms in my sons room, as he just had the cheap white basic kind in there and they were looking rough. I was redoing his room anyway so I decided to upgrade his curtain rods too. These were super easy to install, and they hold his insulated curtains perfectly. And they look great too. Very sleek and modern and perfect for a boys bedroom. Nothing fancy or elegant, they kind of go with the industrial style decor he has in there. These definitely don’t bend under weight like those basic ones do. 10/10 recommend.

The rods aren’t terrible and I like that they have a bunch of different lengths to choose from. I was worried that they wouldn’t be strong enough to hold my curtains but they’ve been up for about a week now without any trouble.

The ability to adjust the length is this curtain rod's strongest feature, especially if your needs for curtain rods alter frequently. It shows some durability and can hold the weight of the curtain to a certain level. This rode couldn't hold a heavy blackout curtain; it was too weak.We needed a curtain rod that we could adjust in length, thus this one was a fantastic fit for us.

Very nice quality curtain holder very sturdy easy to install and assemble

I found these to be pretty good curtain rods. They were easy to assemble and easy to assemble to many different lengths. The rods are sturdy and I noticed no sagging once the curtains were put on it. The knobs press on to the end of the rod. Overall, it is a nice basic curtain rod. It looks stylish and it has met my expectations.

We got this one for hanging of our darkening panels and it was strong enough. But we were able to use in a different window and it worked perfectly.
