Hunter x Hunter, Vol. 19 is the first full volume in the “Chimera Ant” arc. The chimera ant queen, a giant insect, can pass traits to her offspring by consuming creatures. If she eats a tiger, her children will have claws. If she eats a human, all hell breaks loose. To make matters worse, the chimera ant has taken up residence in NGL, or Neo-Green Land, a faraway island nation where all technology is banned. Or is it?Professional hunters, of course, go to NGL to stop the queen, and she and her minions end up eating pro hunters, giving them the power of nen, making them even more unstoppable. An interesting side element is that there are criminals on NGL, and they form the first group of humans that the queen eats. Her offspring become traitorous and criminal. It's a fine story so far, complex, and I cannot wait to consume more of these volumes. ****3/4

5* for originality.The Chimera ants have gotten further along in their evolution than the Hunters have realized by taking on various characteristics of their prey. This leads t a sick and sudden ending. I loved and hated this volume. I'll leave it to you to discover why.Highlight: Kite in action!

I really like Gon! I think he is so awesome, and has a really powerful punch! You can see his Jan Ken "scissors" in this one...I am really excited to see his "paper" move!

Mangá chegou 100%.

Ho recuperato anche la versione digitale di questo meraviglioso fumetto. Personalmente vi sono affezionato e lo trovo uno dei miei manga preferiti. Purtroppo con l'andare avanti dei volumi la qualità di disegno è calata, e soprattutto speriamo che l'autore si decida prima o poi a finire la storia!
