Worth the cost if you use your gear a lot
I have spent approximately 300 hours with these pouches, mostly on duty, and dozens of hours of use in training. I primarily use these as utility pouches now as they are easily adapted to whatever you put them in.They easily fit any pistol magazine (single or double stack), flashlights, multi tools, knives, and pretty much anything around those sizes. Everything I have put in them has been secure inside with no worries of them falling out. I have no worries that I'm going to lose my gear when jumping, climbing, bending over, or any unusual movement in gear.Drawing from them is fairly easy. I included a picture that shows the perch of a 17 round magazine (in the Taco) vs. A standard 15 round magazine (in a G-Code Scorpion Short). The magazine sticks out of the Taco approximately an inch and a half (the 17 round magazine has an extended base plate that makes it approximately a 1/2 inch longer than the standard). They are pretty deep pouches overall. The draw with a magazine is smooth and offers little resistance. I have noticed some resistance with multi tools or other items as the inside of the Taco isn't smooth. I'd recommend that you play around with different orientations of the item to find the smoothest removal. Reinserting a magazine into the pistol Taco isn't that bad, especially compared to the rifle Taco. It retains more of a square shape when empty, and takes a little training to get used to putting items back in.One thing most people don't mention is the flexibility of the pouch. When wearing a plate carrier, your magazine pouches are pretty close to your face and drawing a rifle or pistol magazine can be awkward with stiff or deep pouches. The Taco allows you to draw out and up to make it more natural feeling. I included a photo to give you an idea of the flex in the Taco. They seem like fairly durable pouches. One of the ends of the cord has begun fraying. A lighter cleans up the fray but does not seal the cord inside. I will be dipping the ends in super glue to ensure they don't fray anymore. I would recommend this before you mount them to your gear.HSGI makes an excellent molle clip system. They are incredibly easy to use. Removal of them requires a flat tool to release them, but it is not overly difficult. There is a neglagible amount of wiggle room up and down, and approximately a quarter inch side to side. Not even enough to notice. The following is subjective and purely my opinion. They are not exactly "good looking" pouches. There is a lot of different materials and textures going on in such a small area. They sit a little crooked/uneven when you pair two Tacos together. I evened them out a bit by weaving one of the cords through the adjacent pouch to pull it in towards the plate carrier (you can see the weave in one of the pictures). I wish that HSGI has routed the drawstring cord to end at the rear of the pouch vice the front. They designed it to be able to adjust them while wearing them, but once you have it set you never need to touch them again.HSGI revolutionized the multi-use pouch and continues to make a solid product. The Tacos are pretty expensive but well worth the cost if you use your gear a lot. If you're looking for multi-use pouches that are going to last you thousands of hours, spend the money and get these.

Great mag pouch
I gave this 5 stars because it can be adapted to retain anything: of a flashlight, multi-tool, pistol mag - of pretty much any size, etc. They attach to a PALS equipped item pretty securely. The craftsmanship is solid and the multicam matches all of my other multicam as one would expect. For magazine retention, in reality I'd probably rather have a blade tech double mag holster with the MOLLE attachments, but then you lose the ability to swap magazines from different weapons or to use it for something other than a magazine. This item is for anyone who has a PALS garment/pack/bag and wants a pouch that is secure, easy to attach, matches their multicam, and is capable of retaining a variety of items... or being versatile.

Quality HSGI product
I have ran HSGI for many years and it has always done it's job. I have used this style taco for mags, oc spray, and flashlights and it works great.

Needs better fasteners
The holsters themselves are top of the line, but the plastic bands that were included to secure these to a molle or belt are just horrible. They don’t have any adjustments capabilities which causes the holster to move and shift constantly. Sucks that these cost that much just to get those plastic bands.

but they are good for other stuff to
HSGI Tacos are my current go-to choice for mag organization on my PC, but they are good for other stuff to. Be aware that I am not professional military, but I practice simulations with trained professionals regularly. I run the 5.56 size tacos on my rig, and with a little adjustment, they can fit anything you need, and hold on tight. This particular pouch I am using for my Leatherman Surge multi-tool because the original leather pouch disintegrated from use. I've been using it constantly for a few months now, and the tool has only fallen out once. No real wear, and the shock-cord is still plenty elastic. I highly recommend.

Tacos, Tacos, and more Tacos
The TACO pouch is one of the most versatile pouches on the market. The single magazine/utility pouch works great for flash lights, mags, multi tools. The mounting is super easy with either MALICE clips or using any of the other devices out there.
