Fast and early delivery and pretty good value
I needed some additional shelving in the garage but didn’t have the space for a 48 inch wide unit. This product had a reasonable price and was the right size. It came well packaged with no damage and all of the parts included. Directions were clear and assembly was easy and is a one person job. It’s nice they included a small hammer/mallet. But if you have a larger rubber mallet, assembly will be easier. I have some similar bigger storage shelves from years ago (Husky brand) but unfortunately these shelves are more flimsy using less material. The strength is reinforced through new engineering of both the vertical and horizontal supports. Does it work? Yes but it is regrettable that sturdiness is traded off to keep production costs down. As some others have said the connectors between the two halves of the shelves are plastic and are insufficient to carry the weight of the top section. To address this the middle shelf needs to be set up across the connection between the two halves. That should be sufficient to give the unit the right amount of carrying strength but it does limit shelf location flexibility. In my case it wasn’t a problem. Otherwise it is a good product at a reasonable price. If you will be putting smaller items on the shelves, the metal grates will need to have a rigid material covering the grate as the wire openings in the grate are large and small things will fall through. I would buy this again but I still miss the more robust products of the past.

build quality, dimesions
Excellent product.I needed shelves for one of my storage closets and decided to try this product. In comparison, equivalent products sold at Costco are about 2 to 3 times the price.Functional Fit:Perfect. The product is exactly as described and has the correct dimensions.Build Quality:I couldn’t ask for a better one. It has a substantial heft, so it’s definitely not flimsy, yet it’s light enough to move by yourself. However, be cautious when handling it by the bottom section—doing so might cause the upper shelf to detach. The upper shelf is secured by bidirectional plastic inserts (half inserted into the bottom rack and half into the top), so a strong lateral push may cause it to come off.Paint Adherence:The paint appears to adhere well. Although the shelves need to be hammered in for a secure grip, tapping them with a rubber or plastic mallet did not chip the paint.Packaging:Surprisingly, the shelves came with a rubber/plastic mallet and gloves to help with potential sharp edges, although none were present in my case.Assembly:While it is possible to assemble the shelves on your own (as I did), you will greatly appreciate a second pair of hands to hold the bars as you lock them in.Nitpicks:An extra shelf would be useful. The unit includes five shelves in total—with one fixed at the top, leaving four adjustable shelves. If you try to split the unit into upper and lower sections for two low-rise shelves, one section will have three shelves while the other will have two. I emailed the vendor to see if an additional shelf is available and am still awaiting a reply. One of the shelves was not perfectly flat, and I had to adjust it during installation. This was a bit challenging given the overall excellent build quality.Despite these minor issues, I think this product is great. I’ve had it for two weeks, and since it’s installed in a closet, I cannot yet evaluate its resistance to rust.

Nicer Than Many Comparable Shelves
I bought this two pack when it had special pricing awhile back. These are pretty nice when compared to other shelving systems out there. These are nice because they're a little more heavy duty than many and these have the stabilizer pieces that go between the top and bottom sections, which make them much easier to assemble and much more reliable. These have thicker material than some others and the design provides better reinforcement over many shelves you'll find. These can be assembled without tools (wrench, screwdriver, etc), but I would recommend a rubber mallet to effectively tap the pieces fully in to place. If you know what you're doing you should be able to have one unboxed and fully assembled within 15 to 20 minutes. These are fairly sturdy and well-designed, but sometimes the wire shelves can be a little annoying to pop into place. The biggest advantage of these is that they have the pieces that slide into the long top and bottom brackets, which make it much easier to assemble and they're much more stable. I would buy these again, but for not a whole lot more you can find some that are slightly wider, longer, and more heavy duty.

Very sturdy
I use this on my garage for overflow supplies, I love how sturdy it is, and not very hard to put together.

Way sturdier than the price suggests.
These shelves are worth every dollar I spent.

Not great for everything but for some things
The pros: easy to assemble, came with tools and extra parts, quick to put together. Great for smaller items, great deal for 3.The cons: need two people to assemble and move unless you put it together where it's going to be homed. More difficult to assemble alone, not very sturdy, not able to fit two storage containers together on one shelf nor store large containers. Expensive for shipping.Didn't fit my needs but can be better for someone else.
