This is very sturdy and easy to put on your toilet. Very easy to clean as it's hinged. Your own toilet seat sets on top of it. Very handy. Fits well.

This product exceeded my expectations, it looks good and it's very sturdy. I was very frustrated with the product that we had we had it for over a year after a surgery. This is a great alternative to the cheap seats you attach to the toilet. It no longer looks trashy and it's so easy to clean. Flips up as designed.

I’m not sure how to secure it to the toilet so that it doesn’t slide around. It’s not a lot of movement, but it can become misaligned with the toilet bowl. Otherwise, I really like that it can be lifted up to expose the bowl. The added height makes it easier to transfer to the toilet from my wheelchair, and easier for elderly family to use the throne.

This replaces a larger older plastic raised toilet seat and boy is this an improvement. The old raised toilet seat had a screw in the front that I would scrape my leg on when getting out of the shower, and it was too high for me, and a nightmare to clean. Also there was no lid. I wish I had replaced that horrible one earlier with this one - my toilet is no longer a huge ugly eyesore but looks more like a normal toilet since you can use a normal toilet seat and lid on top of it. It was as easy to install as a toilet seat and once you secure the bolts, making sure they are very tightened, it does not move around. The height is perfect so I don't hurt my knees. The hinge design makes it easy to clean the toilet. This is excellent.Update: Still pleased with this, but it is not as strong as I had hoped. The top of this now has a dent & crack in it caused by one of the plastic seat bumpers on the normal toilet seat placed above it. It still works well and the dent isn't visible except when I clean the toilet, but I am betting I will have to replace this in a year or two.

It says elongated but is too small for an elongated toilet but is perfect for a round toilet otherwise worked great and served its purpose after surgery

I would suggest that if you have bad knees this product is just what you need. No more pain as you try to sit on toilet. Both of my knees are damaged. Now I don’t feel any pain when I use the bathroom. You won’t regret it. My daughter laughs at me and says now I know what it means“To sit on the throne”

I had 2 surgeries for a perforated ulcer, I literally almost died. I couldn't possibly sit down to go potty, while in the hospital, they had a raised seat, like this one. I immediately set about looking for one. And yeah, like most, Amazon's my go to search place. Found this toilet seat, can I just say, IT WAS A GAME CHANGER!! It sets at exactly the back of my knees, so I didn't have to hurt myself to sit OR STAND!! I'm 5'3" and weigh 115lbs, this seat seriously was absolutely PERFECT!!! If you need a raised seat, for whatever reason, THIS is the absolute PERFECT one. It went on super easy, is strong and doesn't shift or move ANY when I sit or stand. This is THE ONE!!

My toilet (in a rental) was really, really low. It almost felt like it was child-sized. I wasn't really sure whether to get a round or elliptical version but when I measured the seat, it came back as "round," so that's what I got.My friend was visiting, thankfully, as the bolts (came with) were somewhat challenging to get tight (for my aging hands).It's a bit strange; once it is bolted to the toilet, it doesn't cover the entire toilet bowl, which means the toilet seat sits further forward, leaving a 2" gap at the front that feels a bit awkward. Nevertheless, it works and I love being able to use the toilet without falling down to it and now being able to get up from the seat with "no hands, ma!" Makes me feel like an adult. :-)Because of the fit of the seat, I thought perhaps I had ordered wrong but on measuring it yet again, it's the correct size. So I figure it will just be somewhat strange with the overlap, but I'm not sure I want company using it - it would be a bit embarrassing. Hence the reason for reducing it to 4 stars.
