An amazing dosing kit where aesthetic and function perfectly mix
Making my morning coffee is the routine that sets the tone for the rest of my day. I, therefore, like to use coffee tools that not only function well within that routine but also match the all-black modern aesthetic of my little coffee and espresso nook in my kitchen. This dosing kit matches that form + function requirement perfectly. At first glance, the dosing cup could be mistaken for a piece of modern art (looks a little like the Chicago bean to me) but it's shape is also super functional with a spouted side that corrals beans into the grinder after weighing. The RDT tool stores as an unassuming matte black vertical cylinder but twist the upper and lower sections and a micro droplet sprayer pops up so you can work that anti-static RDT magic on the beans before dropping them in your grinder. It is a bit of joy to start my day off with tools in my coffee routine that work well, are fun to use, and are pretty to look at. They help set a positive mood that ends with a perfect cup of coffee. If you, like me, enjoy the art of making coffee, then this coffee bean dosing kit is a must buy.

Small item with big results
This dosing cup is a small thing that has made pouring beans into my grinder a lot more controlled. I thought it wouldn't make that much of a difference and bought it on an espresso accessory spending spree. Now it's a must have. I don't use the sprayer because it's really not advised with most espresso dedicated grinders. Adding water is a sure fire way to clog up your grinder. Static should decrease as you grind more.

Nice bean doser
The tray is a nice weight, size, and shape. Easy to dose and pour beans. The spray works fine, it twists at the top. Sometimes when you push down to spray it twists close again - but for the price it isn't a big deal.

Good Affordable Option
Overall: A solid, affordable option if you need a coffee bean dosing dish. There's a few negative things about it but the positive results far outweigh the negatives. Below is a small list of what I've found while using this.1. Dosing: If you grind in small batches (<25g), this is the perfect size for you. Most of my measurements are around 20g but sometimes I do large batches of 37.5g and that's when things can get a bit dodgy. Regardless of roast level and bean size, 30g is probably the maximum amount you can put in the dish if you want to be comfortable. Pushing it past it's limits, 37.5g is absolute max for light roast, 35~36g for medium roast (depends on bean size), and 32~34g for dark roast (depends on bean size).2. Durability: Well built dish if you're privy to dropping things. I store it on the second shelf of a cabinet and it's fallen onto my countertop without chipping or cracking.3. Water Spray Bottle: I really like this this is included and something that you don't have to buy separately. The atomizer is extremely smooth and dispenses a sufficient amount of water. The capacity is average at about 5oz I believe. It's a twist opening sprayer (super satisfying) and you can remove the bottle from the sleeve by pulling it out after twisting. You have to be very precise with the direction of the nozzle before spraying. Sometimes I swear it's pointed right at the beans and then the nozzle rotates and the water goes anywhere but there. That's my first major reason for four stars.4. Design: Design is similar to most other dosing dishes but with one major flaw. My main complaint about this product that the beans do not properly disperse from the dish because the dosing end is too narrow. The beans constantly get stuck and shaking/tapping of the dish is almost always necessary. This really becomes a nuisance when you're working with larger doses.FINAL NOTESThere's nothing crazy special about this dish that sets it apart from other products but it's more affordable and the water sprayer that's included is probably the best I've used so far. If you do normal dosing sizes (<25g), you won't have any trouble using this dish; other than the beans getting stuck at the dosing end.
